can you say me it
I had this bad addiction for all my life I could never break completely! I asked myself a question 6 months ago, is there any way possible I could become as strong in my mind as I was when I was 19 Years old? And I answered the question with this, before I would just get started plus I really had a very strong mindset. You can't really change yourself in the way God wants you to change by your own human efforts. God intends you to be changed by Him, by His Spirit, not by your fleshly powers. Yes, you can make changes without God's power, but in doing so, you know only more about yourself, not God, and you can only suppress sinful desire in a constant, tiring effort, not be entirely changed in your desires and filled with the unending power of God. Be warned: If God doesn't change you by His power, spiritual catastrophe will soon arrive.
Romans 8:13
13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Philippians 2:13
13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Philippians 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Ephesians 3:16
16 ...according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
Ephesians 6:10
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.

So that's what I did I just got started with a little goal, starting every day with reading Jesus words and prayer pleading with God for help!
The more I ponder over Jesus words and pray, it gives me huge amounts of Joy and Inspiration to do my Father's will, meaning follow his word more and more, and my addiction is at least 50% less of a problem and getting better each day, for the last six months.
I am new to Christian forums, but I noticed in different forms it seems like nobody likes to agree with each other, why is that? Could you please help me in this area? Could you give me an example cuz you have been talking on these kind of sites.. You probably know just how to do it.For the Christian, anyway, this is entirely the wrong question. Why do you want to break this particular "bad addiction"? To please God? If so, then deal with this addiction God's way, not yours.
If you're God's child, if you've been born-again by His Spirit, then you already have all the help God can give you in getting free of any and all addictions. In the Person of the Holy Spirit, God has given to you everything He can possibly give you in order to be a holy, God-pleasing man. So, then, why pray to God for help? You already have what you need dwelling within you in the Holy Spirit. In him, all the divine power and wisdom necessary to being a godly man is waiting to transform you. Why isn't he, then? Why hasn't the Holy Spirit already changed you and freed your from your addiction? When you know the answer to this question, you will know how to pray correctly in regards to conquering your addiction. For a hint: Read Galatians 5:16, 25, Romans 6, Romans 8:9-16, James 6:7, 10 and 1 Peter 5:6.
You can change many things about yourself by yourself. Non-Christians quit addictions of all kinds without God. But these sorts of changes don't please God because they aren't changes accomplished His way for His purposes. So, I'm glad to hear that you believe your making your way free of your addiction gradually, but doing so the way that you are won't yield the sort of results God wants because He's not the One making the changes.
God wants to display to you His power. He wants to deepen your faith in doing so, expand your love for Him, and give you cause to glorify Him to others. When you say, "Yeah, I beat my addiction," who gets the glory? Who has beaten the addiction? You. In whose power have you done so? Yours. In whom, then, do you really trust to win free of other sins? Well, you, of course (whatever you might tell others).
Do you think the God who is holy, in whom there has never been any darkness (1 John 1:5), and who commands His children to be likewise holy (1 Peter 1:15-16) is pleased that His child is 50% free of sin? These are the sorts of results we enthuse about when we are doing the changing rather than God. His standard by which He judges our progress isn't ever who we used to be but who He is. God isn't thinking, "How far from the person he once was is he?" but, rather, "How much closer to my Son is he?" (Romans 8:29). We cut ourselves a lot of slack concerning our sin and congratulate ourselves for a condition that ought to shame us when our standard of progress is ourselves.
Think of it this way: Is a cup only half-filled with manure better to consume than a cup that is totally full of manure? In the half-full cup there's less manure to get down, yes, but it's still manure and just as disgusting and foul to consume as the manure in the full cup.

Please someone give me an example of good back and forth conversations without so much disagreement?
I thought everything I commented on what's really positive, I don't understand.
I was reading God's word, pondering over Jesus instructions, doing the father's will I mentioned, and praying..
How much more Godly do I have to try to be?
What did Jesus Himself Say is necessary ?I was reading God's word, pondering over Jesus instructions, doing the father's will I mentioned, and praying..
How much more Godly do I have to try to be?
Not available as far as known for decades, not online without not only disagreement but much , very much, in error. Please someone give me an example of good back and forth conversations without so much disagreement?

Being echad with Y'Shua and YHVHif we only agreed with each other, it would not be much of a discussion, would it?
Hey All,Being echad with Y'Shua and YHVH
is more important than carnal discussions.
