I feel so bad about most pastors

Like we didn't understand the OP? :crying :cry4

Well I think I understood.

Sounds like you care about people. Jesus was compassionate and He is pleased when we allow His character to flow through us ;)

Non Christians however may look to a pastor that doesn't have much and think well what kind of God is this that lets his servant suffer financially.

Considering the world's disdain for the televangelists such as Jimmy Swaggert, Benny Hinn, Paul Crouch... all perceived as greedy, grasping and shyster preachers ... Non-Christians just might have a lot more respect for a pastor who looks first to the needs of his flock and secondly to the needs of the poor in the community.

In the world if a Pastor is driving by past the line at a food bank in a Caddy dressed in a three piece suit... not a good impression. Pastors who are in jeans and sweatshirts handing out food at the food banks or organizing a work crew to repair and clean up an elderly person's house... much more respected and far more likely to provoke a non-believer to think... now there is someone whose faith is real.
