I had a vision.

So...there was a guy who I had seen around my campus a lot but never really talked to him or was interested in him. One day at church though the sermon was about praying for my future husband and so during the service I was praying really hard for whoever my future husband is going to be...during that prayer I had a vision that involved me in a white dress, Jesus was holding my hand, and then on the other side was this guy who I had seen around campus in a black suit. There were brick walls around us and people trying to climb over the wall but Jesus wouldn't let them ( so I took that as Jesus was protecting this relationship) and then inside the walls with us were kids running around. I have shared this vision with only a few close friends that personally know the guy in my vision. After this vision God really put this guy on my heart and I pray for him everyday continuously throughout the day, lately this feeling on my heart has become even stronger and stronger. The weird thing about all of this is a couple months ago when I had this vision a couple days afterwards this guy started hanging out with my and my roommate a lot and I started to see him all around campus. Recently we've continued to all hang out together...my dilemma is if I should share this with him or not? At first I had no feelings and was just praying for him and his family, but things started to get revealed to me as we started to hang out and talk and now I have started having feelings for him. I would just like some advice on what to do? God has not let up on feeling this call to pursue him and pray for him on my heart so Im not letting up, but I don't know what to do and would like to hear from some fellow believers on their insight.

It certainly looks like the hand of the Lord might be in a future relationship with him to some degree. I would not share the vision with him right now. Try to befriend him for a closer relationship. Suggest that you have coffee together or something not to aggressive. If he is willing to spend some time with you, perhaps the vision has some truth to it.

First I need to ask if he is Spiritually born again as 2Corinthians 6:14 says to not be unequally yoked with a non believer. Establish a friendship with him first and get to know him and he you that you know that he is the one God has put before you. This reminds me of how I met my husband, even though it was in Church, but I had to get to know him first to know for a surety that this was the one God would put in my path.

I think the best way to know if this vision is from God is to exclude yourself from being a overriding factor that's lead to the vision in the first place.

Are we as Christians completely opposed to New Agey concepts such as soul mates? Or even more timely, twin flame couples, the meetings of which seems an ever-growing phenomenon on the Internet?

There is nothing New Age about soul mates and have never heard of twin flame couples. As far as meeting on the internet and starting a relationship one has to guard themselves of the wolves in sheep clothing that are out there. God will put the right person in our path as He did for me and many others, but it's up to you to recognize them, pray about them and to know for a surety that they are the right one for you.

2Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

OK, thanks. One thing, though, I think my comment about the internet was poorly written. I wasn't referring to online dating, I was referring to ever-increasing stories on the internet about these special type of soul mates meeting, so-called twin flames (do a search, a lot will come up).

So, there were people trying to get in; this could represent how worldly people want the love relationships which we have, but they won't come in through the way (John 14:6), but they try to climb over the wall.

And the children could be the Christians who are as little children, as your example of how to share in love :) You do need others to feed your relationship with their good and mature example, maybe I should say especially older couples who have learned and grown in marriage and bringing up their children. So, surely, I would say, Jesus does not mean to protect you from mature example people > "nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3)

And black is the "color" which soaks up all the rainbow of sunlight. So, this could represent that he receives all that is in God's light.

Make sure about if he is like this :)
