I hate every false way...

Re: An argument from silence...

Firstly, and not to be picky.. but Christ is the second man, the LAST Adam.

Secondly, your issue is with the word of God, not this thread. The word of God says that the man was not deceived.. so if you'd like to correct God on the matter then go right ahead..

How about dreams... any dreams of saving people lately ? :-)

I have no problem with the scripture saying the woman was decieved the man was not. It perfectly is true taken in context. The context is meant to establish why the man should be trusted over the woman according to order of authority. To me it is not meant to be taken as saying Adam freely willed to defame God while the woman didn't, so he should be in charge.

Well then there you go.. you've found a way to say that Adam was deceived when the word of God says that he was not deceived.

Good for you..

Maybe you can take that and start your own thread on it.

If you trust in a person who is decieved, how are you not now decieved? Jesus used this analogy, the blind leading the blind all fall into a ditch.

Who is trusting in deception..? I'm simply referencing the word of God.

Are you implying that the word of God is deceitful ?

I was trying to put you in Adams shoes or rather sandals. To rephrase: If Adam trusted in a person who is deceived (Eve), how is he not now deceived? Jesus used the analogy the blind leading the blind all fall into a ditch.

Who says Adam trusted in Eve ? I think you're the only person implying that.

Yes, the Spirit came upon men in the OT although they were not sealed with it as we are today.

Paul tells us to not grieve the Spirit or quench it..

Yes, indeed (and I think you mean Him, rather than it..)

Blessings.

The bible says that God told Adam he shouldn't have listened to the woman. That implies he was persuaded to eat by the woman.

childeye... if you're going to try and convince people of the truth you should start with the truth, and the simple truth is that Adam was not deceived.

Once again, please take this up with God.. I'm not going to debate what is perfectly clear in the scriptures.

Rather than go on and on here in this thread, please start your own and there you can try all you want to convince people that Adam was deceived.

Thank You !

No Adam was not deceived as Eve was. I already said that. But Eve was deceived and Adam listened to her. Is it too much to assume that Adam trusted Eve so he ate? Is that commiting the evil act of adding to scripture? You say you hate every false way? What is untrue about what I said? I'm talking to you, not everyone else. Why do you always duck the conversation when we get to here? Is it because you may have to accept that sin is more a matter of circumstance than it is of the will? But have it your way, I will say no more.
