I know who's going to be the next Pope!

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."
Matthew 7:15–23

Anyone wanna start a fire?

I know we mustn't add to the scripture. But there's one exception we should seriously consider and I'm sure God would approve.

We should add an 11th commandment:
Thou shalt no troll on the internet.
Exodus 20 : 17.5

What does that have to do with hypocrites or the topic at hand?! That is the question!

No offense, and I don't mean to judge, but a lot of you guys on here don't sound very compassionate, loving, or Christ-like. There is no need to mock "precepts" or other peoples' posts. God bless you all!

I've heard the new pope is likely to be more liberal...whether that's a good or bad thing depends on your opinion!

I think it also depends on what definition of the word "liberal" is being used. I haven't heard anything specific on his views, but I do know from some of his actions over the past few days that he is a very humble man. The reports say he is very involved with the poor in Argentina, so it could be that he may be a bit more "liberal" with how the church will help those in need.

Time will tell.

Thank you very much.

Because while it may be possible, it is neither humble, nor realistic.
Two points, a day or two before the election on the live briefing on EWTN, a woman was interviewed about a painting, she was in the process of painting, the painting was of John Paul, Benedict, and Tarciscio Bertone, and guess what, she was in the process of finishing Bertone's image. Her expression was as if she had been caught with her hand in the cookie jar because the world is under a spell and shouldn't notice simple things like that! Maybe someone who saw and remembers exactly when it aired, and how I could get a copy of the painting, could leave the info on this thread.

Secondly, in all the EWTN's speculation of who was to be pope, every candidate was selected because of their closeness or connection to Benedict. Check the facts.

Don't know where you heard that. Francis/Jorge Bergoglio has been one of the most conservative voices in the Vatican since he was named a cardinal by John Paul 12 years ago.

I understand a little old lady in Spain has offered to correct the painting.

Assuming that is true, and I have no reason to believe it is not, obviously those candidates were not selected. True?

So you're saying the present pope has no connections to Benedict?
In the sense that he served as a cardinal, of course he has connections. He also had connections to John Paul, who appointed him. In what sense do you believe him to be more connected to Benedict that John Paul? Do you see a conspiracy here?

I was searching the web for a connection but everything listed now is about the election. I'm sure there must be some type of connection between the two, but like I said before, anything is possible.

What I find interesting, though, is my theory was in fact the black pope conspiracy, a white pope (the head of the church), and the black pope which would be the undercover pope to be reigning undercover with the white pope. And we now have an alleged black pope amidst the media's report of a possible pope of African descent. What's up with that?!

I'm not following your train of thought here. It gets more confused with each post. So I'll bow outta here with this comment: Pope Francis is the pope until the next one comes along. God bless.
