any german shepherd reminds me of sasha. daddy misses sasha. :sad
I think that German Shepherds are a nice dog.Not for everyone though. They have a tendency to have serious hip problems and they are very, very protective of their families.

sasha was put down because she was never fully socialized, she bit a man. we couldn't keep her. she was a chocolate colored shepherd and at night you couldn't see her. she loved the kennels and would sleep in them.unlike my huskey.

Maybe the kennels were security to her.

she was used to them but she was also abused. at my beckoning she would jump on the bed and sleep next to me. I could cuddle with that dog. yet I was the ONLY male that could do that. if any other tried to come near her. they would be bit.

My GSD was fine with people, though not socialized as well as she could have been, but had a tendency towards dog aggression/domination. From what I know of her past, my dad got her as a 6 month old puppy from a family who was getting rid of her because their other dog didn't get along with her. She would have had little to no socialization with other dogs once my dad brought her home. She would have learned how to treat other dogs from the dog she grew around up as a puppy.

my wife said the same. what is it native too? certainly not my state we have three types of owls here.
I am not quite sure.We have a couple of types of owls where I live. One night last summer I was sitting in my livingroom and I could hear the hooting very clear.I then went outside and it was really loud so the owl was somewhere close.I was cool :biggrin2
