1500 lbs is big and dangerous but not as big as that may suggest. its worth checking.
I don't know.It sure doesn't look like it.My X father in law lived in Alaska.He said that the Grizzlies are definitely that size.
the brown bear is a grizzlie. snopes says some of those images aren't real.

Back in the 90s, when friends of mine would take a weekend away, I would take care of their dog. He was 95% wolf, but the biggest pushover.
Well, one afternoon, I heard him whining & whimpering. I tracked him down...... to the far back corner of the first floor bathroom. My small cat (at the time) was positioned quickly pleasantly on the edge of the tub, and each time that dog tried to leave the room, she would hiss & swing a paw. He would retreat.
But he was a very smart dog and bided his time.
A couple of months later, he was back in my household. I hadn't seen him for a while so I went looking. I couldn't help but break out laughing at the scene when I located him. He was very quietly & carefully inching his mouth around my small cat's tail. She was sleeping on a round table in the foyer, with her tail hanging off the edge. If I hadn't arrived when I did, I have no doubt he would have taken that tail (with cat attached), and pulled her off the table in one fell swoop!
It was comical!
