[_ Old Earth _] Ice ages

Very inconvenient! They have to have occurred since the Flood, since, according to creationists, the surface of the Earth was reworked by the Flood (to create, for instance, the Grand Canyon practically overnight), which would have messed up all those marks of glaciers on the landscape. That means mile-thick ice sheets had to advance and retreat again and again, across half the Northern Hemisphere, with the speed of freight trains. (As with plate tectonics, some creationists seem to have abandoned complete denial of ice ages [even though they're never mentioned in the Bible {How could the true history of the world miss those?}], and acknowledged a single ice age, which had to have occurred within historical times.)

Yes, I'm new here. As I was lurking earlier, a couple of threads caught my eye, and this was one of them. I thought that I might have some information to add that might be worth consideration.

I think that the following line of reasoning puts paid to much of the "glaciations" of landscapes doctrines and teachings among the geomorphologists...

Drumlins and Diluvial Currents

Introduction
Drumlins are elongated hills, with streamlined shape. They occur in groups with similar orientation. The name "drumlin" is Irish, and there are thousands of them in that country. In 1865 the drumlins of Ireland were attributed to glacial movement by H.M. Close. Since then, almost all writers on the subject of drumlins have assumed they are of glacial origin, although no mechanism for drumlin formation by ice action has been discovered.

When considered as the effects of currents of the deluge, drumlins can be quite easily explained. Their distribution patterns provide information about the way in which the flood waters retreated from the land.

As far as the Grand Canyon is concerned, one might wish to look at Plasma Universe Cosmology and The Electric Universe. The Exploded Planet Hypothesis also fits better with those than it does with the evolutionary philosophy that courses throughout modern astronomical and solar sciences.

Several different sciences and types of biblical exegesis were addressed in the original post, and makes it difficult to address in a reasonably succinct fashion. For now, I will only address these few short points so as to prevent further confusion.

What I have offered is just a very small sample of many such proofs that are availble.

Drumlins are known to be glacial till. Unlike water-deposited material, glacial till is not differentiated by size of particle. But drumlins are. j They could not have been deposited by running water.
