ice cream brands

now that summer is turning into fall, things are cooling off...

...I'm all about some ice cream! Seriously, I'm basically 7 years old again when it comes to the stuff. Lately, I've discovered a brand..Maola...they're southern, they make some ice creams in pint size. I'm all about some chocolate+peanut butter.

What's your favorite brand and/or flavor(s)?

hello Christ_empowered, dirtfarmer here

I like strawberry, peach, and vanilla. Some times I get a glass of vanilla and pour Pepsi over it and then stir it so that it becomes slush and then I eat it. I don't particularly look for a brand, just the flavor.

yeah...I just like Maola cuz of the name, and the happy cow on the carton. the peanut butter cholocate is pretty awesome, and its cheaper than the Haagen Das version.

Peach ice cream is high quality. That's one thing I miss about living in GA...peach --everything-- , even peach soda.

I like almost any "peach". Does that make me a good Georgian? I usually buy Kroger or Wal-Mart brand. There is a frozen custard shop near where I live and I go there sometimes.

Sometimes I make a peach cobbler and then when it comes out of the oven, I cover it with vanilla ice cream to cool it off: hahahaha. Just an excuse to smother the cobbler with ice cream. You know, they say a poor excuse is better than none when it come to Ice cream and cobbler.

Name one! :biggrin2
I once made the comment, "A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work." To which I got the reply, "Define a bad day fishing." Likewise, I would have to say, define a bad ice cream.

yum, peach cobbler and icecream :drool

Walmart's Great Value Moose Tracks...............chocolate icecream with ribbons of fudge and peanut butter cups. :woot2
I really do not like Walmart, but it is what it is in a small town and cheaper than Giant Eagle.

yeah...any brand of moose tracks seems to be a winner. right now, I've got the Pet brand, chocolate moose tracks in the freezer. good times...

Im having three scoops because its that nepolean or whatever its called, so one scoop vanilla, one scoop chocolate, and one scoop strawberry.

Trump only had two scoops.

Let's get to a couple favourite Aussie flavours of mine. I love this flavour, but only buy when on special:

This one is on special at a few supermarkets right now. Streets Magnum Classic - vanilla:

I love the vanilla with white chocolate:

I think I'm addicted. But I do enjoy Baskin Robbins, but it's way too expensive Down Under.

looks delicious , Oz. Is Baskin Robbins popular in Australia? They seem to have disappeared here. We had one locally...now its gone, and there's a gelato shop in its place. The same company that owns Baskin Robbins owns Dunkin' Donuts, and we have plenty of those. weird.

the vanilla w/ white chocolate bar looks amazing. We have that brand here in the US, but I don't think they offer that flavor. Must be an Australian thing (?).

CE,

Baskin Robbins is a minor ice-cream player. I would say because it is very expensive. I counted 11 stores here in Brisbane, one of them being in my suburb of North Lakes. I rarely go there but they do have some awesome flavours.

I really enjoy the white Magnum - too much!

The Magnum ice-cream was developed in Europe and went to the USA and Canada in 1993.

Jason,

Here's a copy of the Peter's Neopolitan ice-cream. Peters is an Aussie brand produced by Nestle:

There was building on the sandridge painted this color.that's a memory as that was a packing house near the one my dad worked in.I'm not sure whethere it stands. It was on cr 510 .mom used it to refer when to turn as we all did.

Im having another 3 scoops of Neopolitan, i could scoop across and have one scoop with all 3 flavours but because i can i go long ways and take a scoop of each. Not a classic scoop, my scoop goes from one end of the tub to the other.
