What do we hope to get from this board in the "ideal case" given that all of these topics are actually on Evolution vs the Bible?

1. From the Christian POV (since this IS a Christian message board) we have the first most obvious scenario -- that of a Christian Darwinist coming to this board to share and to learn.

Such a person starts off admitting to the gap between what they read IN the bible vs what their belief in darwinism demands. The Bible says things like "SIX days you shall labor and do all your work... FOR IN SIX DAYS the Lord MADE the Heavens and the Earth the seas and all that is in them" Ex 20:8-11.

The Christian Darwinist in this scenario freely and honestly admits to the gap that such contrast between belief in the Bible and belief in Darwinism presents and comes to this board seeking more discussion those gaps. Seeking to "do the math" not simply "pile assumption onto assumption" in favor of Darwinism and against the integrity of the Bible.

Ideally (From the Christian POV) that person becomes disabused of what Colin Patterson calls "Stories easy enough to make up" in Darwinism regarding "How one thing came from another". They become more accutely aware of the difference between the actual science seen in chemistry, physics and biology vs the junk-science hoaxes and "stories easy enough to make up" claimed for atheist darwinism. They find that they no longer need to religiously oppose ID SCIENCE but rather they become "free to follow the data where it leads EVEN if it leads to a conclusion in favor of design that does not pander to the doctrines of atheist darwinist dogma".

2. From the Christian POV - another scenario is that an atheist or agnostic Darwinist comes to the board -- sees the faith-based argument that their fellow atheist darwinists make in favor of Darwinism and begin to at least "start" down the path of re-thinking that Darwinist religionist argument.

3. From the ATheist and Agnostic Darwinist POV the IDEAL scenario is to start a thread on some Darwinist science project that has not yet reached the "50 year exposed hoax" boundary that Piltdown man reached or the 30 year "exposed hoax boundary" that Neanderthal man reached just last year where the dating methods for neanderthals were discovered to be fraudulent. So having some argument... some speculative proposal not yet debunked by fellow athiest darwinists (Just challenged by Christians) their ideal would be to snooker (or put it as politely as you like) some unsuspecting Christian into distrusting the Bible enough to either become agnostic or at the very least -- a Christian believing Darwinism and starting at some level of distrust of the Bible plus being much more open to extreme eisegetical bend-and-wrench efforts applied to scripture.

Unless someone can see yet another ideal agenda for either group -- I propose that these "ideals" explain a lot of what we see in the threads.

However -- I am still trying to find that Christian Darwinist who freely admits to the gaps between what they SEE in Ex 20:8-11 and what their faith in darwinism tells them to believe.

Atheist darwinists like Dawkins, Provine, Meyers and Huxley freely admit to it -- and certainly Darwin himself confirmed it in his own words.
