if a soul is a fusion between body and spirit... and that fusion dies.... whats left ?

Can a living person contain more than one spirit? Someone with multiple personalities, I mean. What will remain when she dies?
The spirit in man isn't a person. The scriptures tell us that the spirit in man is the same spirit in animals. Animals spirit isn't a person in their bodies.
So just as when other people, when they die, cease to exist as a living person, a person with multiple personalities ceases to exist as a living person.

With different personalities (people?) making different conflicting choices but sharing the same spirit, what happens to the spirit? How does God judge those people to determine the fate of the spirit? At least one of them is truly evil. The rest seem innocent, maybe slaves.

What a great question, Brother!

Well, let's see now...I gave my life to God and He gave me a new spirit. All things are alive and new now, the old man passed away. So I have a spirit!

Scripture also tells me that I have the Holy Spirit of God inside me and that He will lead me into all truth and never leave me, He indwells me. He also bears witness to (talks to) my spirit. I may not understand or be able to hear their spirit language, but it is clear that, I have the Holy Spirit Comforter within me also.

I try very much to abide in Christ. He is the Vine and we are the branches, but if we press into our Lord Jesus, He said that He will make His abode with me. So Jesus is inside me too.

Jesus said, He and the Father are one, so the Father is inside of me also!

It's starting to get crowded in there I think, Lol. Scripture shows in the case of the demon possessed guy who had 2000 spirits in him. A legion of spirits. Remember?

We also have our carnal man inside us. Our soul which contains our mind, will and emotions. He is seperate from the Spirit because the spirit has no dealings with carnal man or the flesh.

Plus our conscience speaks to us, and our conscience is not the carnal mind or man. So we have very many personalities which make us up as a, human man with a flesh body. It is helpful to be able to tell who it is talking inside of us! It takes some practice and you must pay attention, but it gets easier over time.

That spirit is the breath of life, which is to say...you breath and live. And he very much so is his own person and peronality! How else could the Holy Spirit bear witness to our spirit? Our spirit is in direct communication with God's Holy Spirit. (He might be the voice of our conscience?)

If my spirit has no personage then what do I do with that scripture about He bears witness to my spirit? What does that mean?

Thank you for that. Your experiences seem to have been a blessing, or at least you turned them in to one. I wish the same for my.. friend, but I fear she is going in the wrong direction. I have proven to be a poor guide and even worse friend. As time passes it becomes difficult to remember the one I love could still be in there. I only see the bad most days.

A person with multiple personalities is mentally sick, not evil.
Regarding the spirit, it's not some living person in a human body. The same spirit in a human is the same spirit in animals.
So God doesn't judge someone to determine the fate of the spirit, it's not a person, that can be judged. The only hope a human being has when he\she dies is if God judges a person worthy of a resurrection. That means if God judges a person worthy of a resurrection when a person dies, then that means God will resurrect back into existence as a living person those God judges worthy of a resurrection.

Perhaps a better term would be, not yet perfected?

How about this? Are we instructed in scripture to take on the mind of Christ?

I'm not saying that multiple personalities that are evil do not exist, I am saying that there is much that we do not know about the spiritual realm and how it operates. And we mostly do not have a clue.

But inasmuch as walking with the Lord and being led by the Spirit is technically multiple personalities, the fact of the matter is, not everyone who has multiple personalities within them are evil or sick. Make room for the Lord!

I am having trouble fully understanding a scripture, Brother. Perhaps you can tell me what this means?

Ephesians 2:6
6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.../NLT

It sounds to me as if we became seated in Heavenly places with Christ when we were united with Him and were Born Again?

But which personaity would that be? Or what is your take on it?

In the account of the creation of man it states that God formed man from the dust of the ground and proceeded to “blow [form of naphach] into his nostrils the breath [form of neshamah] of life, and the man came to be a living soul [nephesh].” (Genesis2:7). Nephesh may be translated literally as “a breather,” that is, “a breathing creature,” either human or animal. Neshamah is, in fact, used to mean “breathing thing [or creature]” and as such is used as a virtual synonym of nephesh, “soul.” (Compare Deuteronomy 20:16; Joshua 10:39, 40; 11:11; 1 kings 15:29.)The record at Genesis 2:7 uses neshamah in describing God’s causing Adam’s body to have life so that the man became “a living soul.” Other texts, however, show that more was involved than simple breathing of air, that is, more than the mere introduction of air into the lungs and its expulsion therefrom. So, at Genesis 7:22, in describing the destruction of human and animal life outside the ark at the time of the Flood, we read: “Everything in which the breath [form of neshamah] of the force [or, “spirit” (ruach)] of life was active in its nostrils, namely, all that were on the dry ground, died.” Neshamah, “breath,” is thus directly associated or linked with ruach, which here describes the spirit, or life-force, that is active in all living creatures, human and animals. The point is, that Genesis 7:22 shows that both humans and animals have the same spirit. The spirit that's in animals isn't some living person inside their bodies and neither is the spirit regarding humans, a living person inside a human body.
When the scriptures talk about the spirit concerning humans it's talking about the life- force that is active in living creatures, not some living person inside your human body. So when it comes to the question you asked, he bears witness to my spirit, what does that mean?
It means under the influence of God’s holy spirit, the spirit, or dominant attitude, of anointed Christians impels them to respond in a positive way to what God’s Word says about the heavenly hope. For instance, when they read what the Scriptures say about YHWH God spiritual children, they spontaneously acknowledge that such words apply to them. (1 John 3:2) They know that they have been “baptized into Christ Jesus” and into his death. (Romans 6:3) Their firm conviction is that they are God’s spiritual sons, who will die and be resurrected to heavenly glory, as Jesus was. It doesn't mean God's Holy Spirit is talking to a living person inside your human body. You, who is a human being is a living person, you don't have a living person inside your human body. God caused the human body to become a living person when he blew the breath(spirit) of life into the flesh and blood human body, he didn't give the flesh and blood human body a living person.

I had to go back and reread Mark 5 where Jesus met Legion. The thought myfriend could be home to demons is rather disturbing to say the least, but she does refer to herself as we and us. She has also ripped up pages from the New Testament in several Bibles. Even if I don't believe it, maybe she does.

I'm not going to agree with your multiple personality talk.
All we need to know about the mind of Christ is in the scriptures, it has nothing to do with multiple personality.
By a careful reading of the four Gospel accounts, we can perceive the pattern of thinking that motivated his actions. So, to be a true Christian, what is necessary? Jesus expressed it this way: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”(John 17:3; 2 Peter 3:18.)

When it coes to, the mind of Christ.
We should ask, what is needed in order to follow Christ’s example, or life pattern? Obviously, we have to know him, right? So we have to ask ourselves, am I one who really knows Jesus of Nazareth? Do I have a clear idea of what kind of person he was while here on earth? Or how he reacted to people in different circumstances? Do I have “the mind of Christ”? 1 Corinthians 2:16; Ephesians 4:13.

Asking oneself these kinds of questions lets every Christian know she\he should have a deep knowledge and understanding of, YHWH God, and of the life and teachings of his Son, Christ Jesus. It is not enough to call oneself a Christian witness. To have the mind of Christ, we must regularly fill our minds with understanding of Jesus’ life and example. That means we need a regular and genuine study of the Scriptures along with Bible study aids that help to clarify meaning and context. It also calls for a proper frame of mind so that we can understand and accept Christ’s role in God’s purposes.(John 5:39-47; Matthew 24:45-47.) So to have the mind of Christ we need to pray to God for his help and read and study God's word and meditate on what you have read and learned. That's how you get the mind of Christ. It has nothing to do with multiple personality disorder. As I said multiple personality disorder is a mental disorder such people are mentally sick.

Where is this in scripture? I don't mean to offend, but this doesn't follow from the rest of your post. How do the "mentally sick" achieve salvation?
I wasn't talking about who would get salvation. I was simply saying that having the mind of Christ has nothing to do with multiple personality. I was saying that to get the mind of Christ we need to pray to God for his help when reading and studying his word. And because I was talking about the mind of Christ that to have the mind of Christ we need to read, study and meditate on the four gospels concerning Jesus Christ because by doing so we can perceive the pattern of thinking that motivated his actions. So, to get or have the mind of Christ, Jesus expressed it this way: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. So taking in knowledge of Jesus Christ especially concerning the four gospel helps us to have the mind of Christ because it helps us to perceive the pattern of thinking that motivated his actions.
When it comes to multiple personality disorder being a mental illness, look it up.

Yes I've always understood that, but people saying to me that a person's spirit is a living soul or living person that goes to God when a human being dies is incorrect. The spirit isn't some living person that goes to God and waits to be judged. When a person does he\she ceases to exist as a living person, that's death.
Well that would be another thread conversation "is there an afterlife".

I have read the psychology on MPD (DID these days), but I was looking for spiritual guidance. The only guidance I have found in scripture has been related to demonic position or influence. TBH what I'm really asking is how can I save my friendbefore she completely destroys herself. Thanks for your help. I appreciate you taking time to answer my questions so succinctly.

Fair enough. Let's just keep the talk to about us ourselves I can do that.
So has your conscience ever spoke to you?

Mine has. And it did not come from my carnal mind. So there is a different personality than our carnal mind.
Would you agree to that? Or why not?

The word conscience is translated from the Greek word syneidesis which is drawn from syn (with) and eidesis (knowledge) and thus means co-knowledge, or knowledge with oneself. Conscience is a capacity to look at oneself and render judgment about oneself, bear witness to oneself.
Conscience is inherent in man, having been made part of him by God. It is an inward realization or sense of right and wrong that excuses or accuses one. Hence, conscience judges. It also can be trained by the thoughts and acts, convictions and rules that are implanted in a person’s mind by study and experience. Based on these things, it makes a comparison with the course of action being taken or contemplated. Then it sounds a warning when the rules and the course conflict, unless the conscience is “seared,” made unfeeling by continued violations of its warnings. Conscience can be a moral safety device, in that it imparts pleasure and inflicts pain for one’s own good and bad conduct.
From the very start, man has had a conscience. Adam and Eve manifested this as soon as they broke God’s law and hid themselves. (Genesis 3:8) In Romans 2:14, 15 we read: “For whenever people of the nations that do not have law do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them and, between their own thoughts, they are being accused or even excused.” so it can be seen that conscience has not been wiped out even among non-Christians. This is because all mankind descended from Adam and Eve, in whom conscience was inherent.
So I disagree that your conscience is a different personality talking to you. When your conscience talks to you it's you talking to you. It either accuses you for what you're doing or saying or excuses you for what you're doing or saying. It depends on how you have trained your conscience.
