i realized i knocked the Golden cow over
trust me when i say this that was not sarcasm .it was a statementDon't be sarcastic as there is no room for that in the forums.
i could say this was sarcasmI don't believe you understand the meaning of REPENT.
okkkkk then i will say were only saved once why do you think 1 john 1;9 says confess .which is part of repentance
so if we sin after being saved any type sin we dont need to repent ?now we need to repent of our sin so God can blot them out for our sake as He remembers them no more and brings us into the new covenant of God's grace
"I guess I kicked over the Golden cow" is the same as disrespecting that of what another believes. It's definitely not showing love for another even if they disagree.trust me when i say this that was not sarcasm .it was a statement i could say this was sarcasm
i fully understand the word REPENT for some reason the word your wrong keeps coming up.in phrase"I don't believe you understand the meaning of REPENT."
i have yet to disrespect any one. people take words phrases and run like the wind with them.. to make it plain i disagree with what you say about repenting ..just like i disagreed with others on baptism ."I guess I kicked over the Golden cow" is the same as disrespecting that of what another believes. It's definitely not showing love for another even if they disagree.
i stand where i am on repentance
but you said we only repent once .. gesshHopefully you see that if a brother becomes lost, he needs to repent, and return to God to be reconciled back to Him, otherwise he would remain lost.
but you said we only repent once .. gessh
possible lol guess i thought you was on board withWhich post did I say that?
I think you have me mixed up with someone else.

REPENT - change, transform, transfigure, reconsiderjerry63935 said:
hmmmm only one time ?? care to give scripture on that . that is a interesting doctrine
Yes, we only repent one time as repentance gives us that opportunity to receive a new beginning in our life as God wipes away all our past sin and remembers them no more.
so if we sin after being saved any type sin we dont need to repent ?

i did not come to my beliefs by jumping on board what others say.
i read it i look things up and study them out. study to show yourself approved.. rightly dividing the truth i have a brother who has been preaching close to 40 years .i respect him but i dont agree with him %100 even though i been in the ministry going on 20 years . if i see a group of people running over the hill i will wonder what they are up to. o may even check it out from a distance .
when i see one person going the opposite direction .. chances are i am to.. . this is as far as i go in explaining my belief // there was many post i agreed with you on.. this one i dont
possible lol guess i thought you was on board with to much going back and forth being told i dont understand the word.

then were only saved once were good to go no matter what . . repentance is very much part of the christian walk. we turn from it learn from it and then have grown from it... case closedNo we do not need to repent as we already confessed we are sinners needing God's grace.

You posted scripture but I'm not sure what you believe it means.i have read paul writing to the corinthian Church
2 Corinthians 7:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
where does Godly sorrow com e from ? -->conviction from the h.s
Psalm 51:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
when we are broken over our sins be ye angry sin not ...ever say a rather sharp remark that cut some one to the heart. to him who knows to do good and don't is sin . you never have to turn from.
i know of a doctrine pretty close to that..
please understand i dont need your explanation i have my belief through study just as you have yours i am through with this subjectI already explained this in post #71.
Hi FHG,,,1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If you believe what 1 John 1:7 says then what is the purpose of actual water baptism on this side of the cross. I'm not saying it's not important and yes, it does have a purpose, but yet many are not physically capable of being dunked in water. Even the thief on the cross believed by faith that Jesus truly was the Son of God and that day Jesus told him he would be in paradise with Him.
This is John's baptism and Christ baptism, Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
On this side of the cross we are washed in the blood of the Lamb as we are no longer Jew and Gentile, but are Christians. Christian baptism by water symbolizes repentance, cleansing and commitment as it identifies with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ and faith in Him.
John's baptism of repentance was a foreshadow what Jesus would accomplish with His finished works on the cross. The blood of bulls and goats could not accomplish anything, Hebrews 10:4-6, nor does actual water as it's only by the blood of Jesus for both Jew and Gentile now called Christians since that day in Antioch, Acts 11:19-26.
There is nothing wrong with being dunked in water if it is first properly taught what the importance is, but to know it is only an outward appearance to others of a commitment you have decided to make to Christ.
