...If Jesus had appeared rich and wealthy

I disagree, I don't think He would have had many followers at all. At least not millions as the centuries have passed. Poor people can not identify with the rich. Not in the long run, anyway. Sure- Trump has many poor followers, as have politicians before him. But rich leaders do not have millions of followers through centuries.

Buddha gave up all, I am not sure about Muhammed as I know little of other religions.
Welcome to the forum!
Nice to have you here.

Is this information from the Koran? I've not yet read it.
No.
The Koran contains his alleged revelations from the angel Gabriel. (I believe Gabriel)
That is historical data that is, to same extent, suppressed because it tends to be an embarrassment. But you can Google Mohamad's biographical information.

iakov the fool

Okay, Jesus came from a very affluent neighborhood. It is believed Joseph was wealthy. I do not feel that some of the people Jesus was around would have had a thing to do with him if he was "hobo".

If there is anything specific that Jesus was impoverished and not rich anywhere in the Gospel please post it.

Where does it say he was rich?
Why should someone prove he wasn't?
I just showed Scripture that he had no place to lay his head.
Do you think that means he was rich?
Have you ever heard of a carpenter being rich?

Well, actually, Jesus WAS a hobo.
His FAMILY was not rich, but they weren't poor either.
HE was poor.

That link sounds good, but considering the author is an egalitarianist, one should question the manner in which she expresses her findings.
God very well did provide for all Jesus' needs, and that is a very good lesson for those of us living in the good ol' US of A.
But it's interesting to note that archeologists are trying to find the house Jesus lived in Nazareth.
I wonder who's funding that?
And no where in Scripture does it say that Jesus was a carpenter.
That is another myth.

The word used does not specifically mean carpenter.
I forget what it means... Oh. A Craftsman of some type, most Probably a carpenter, but we can't be sure.
I didn't read the whole article through but Nazareth was near a trading road where there was lots of traffic.
It's also brlieved that Jesus might have known Greek because the commerce language was Greek.

This is another reason why Nazareth was not as poor as some other towns.

Did you know that Peter's house in capernam was found?

Oh really?
What did it say on the front door, "Here lives Peter the Apostle?

It had the name Peter and something else that made them understand ( the archeologists)
That there were religious meetings there.
So they feel they could safely assume it was Peter's house.

Yes, all science is based on assumptions

They thought Jericho didn't really exist.
The walls were found in the 30's, if I remember.
You should check this out.
The Bible is being proven more and more.
Yes, they've also proved that Adam and Eve were not the first people on Earth.
I think they found the hill that Jack and Jill fell down.
Another scientific discovery

I know that the first persons were from either that area (Mesopotania, Iraq) or maybe northern Africa.

I don't think the first persons were named Adam and Eve...it's obvious those names are an analogy to the first persons. But there was definitely a first man and a first woman.
(unless one believes in evolution).
