Bible Study If you teach God’s Word the way it’s meant to be taught,

I agree with a lot of what has been written but would add the obvious qualification that while the obedient Christian can be "hated", the hypocritical or downright flaky believer will also be "hated", and perhaps for good reason. In other words, you can't assume that being "hated" means you are going about things the right way.

I would bet the Westboro Baptist people think all the criticism that is (rightly, of course) fired their way is proof they are doing God's work.
But no one went there that I can see.

Well God does create light and darkness and good and evil.
No, no and again I shout no! God creates beings with a free will. He does not create Evil. If a being has a Free Will that being can hate or love and or choose any point between. God created Man for Fellowship and God the Father sent the Son, His Son, in the form of a man to purchase our souls that the Fellowship, lost, might be restored. Now remember the Free Will because to love God so much that a man or a woman will sit down and converse with with a sexless God before their husband or wife requires a lot of love. That is why we have a Free Will in the first place, not that, through God and his will we would do some kind of evil he created us for. No, there is no reason for good and there is no reason for love except the opposite is possible.

Nope, God did not create evil, Lucifer did that.

According to the bible he does, well if you read the KJV (which I do)

Well, I guess if one should suppose to teach God's word the way it was meant to be taught, then one would should really know what the word actually says. I know the traditions and doctrines of men are hard to overcome, but the word is clear; no mind bending tricks to make it say something that it doesn't.

Isaiah 45:5-7
I am the Lord, and there is none else,
there is no God beside me:
I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west,
that there is none beside me.
I am the Lord, and there is none else.
I form the light, and create darkness:
I make peace, and create evil:
I the Lord do all these things.

Nope, no mention of Lucifer there that I can see.

:screwloose2

Maybe Bill it would do you good to read the rest of Isaiah 45 since both you and Jethro Bodine seem so overly concerned that I supposedly teach some secret knowledge. Why how could that be?

:chin

Why do you attribute the things of the Lord to Lucifer?

Just an intreasting tidbit for you guys intreasted. According to the bible encyclopedia in Biblegateway's app. There's a lot to discuss on the word evil.

A word "Ra" translated to evil 800 times is referring to what is physically bad, such as rotten apples and poisoned fruit are bad, what is physically undesirable in those instances. The same word has been used to be translated to being what is wicked, as in what's wicked in the sight of the Lord.

Another word "Poneros" translated to evil 82 times in the New Testiment. Twice for what is physically evil, for the other times googling the term says it is often used for being pain-ridden.

"Kakos," another word translated to evil is said to be a generic term for evil and usually means moral evil, disobedience to God, or sin. It appears 78 times.

As for the verse Isaiah 45:7. In the NIV translation it's translated that God forms the light, and creates darkness. He brings prosperity and creates disaster. From this it sound like the word evil is translated from "ra," as opposed to other forms of evil like sin and disobedience.

To me this was an intreasting find a while back. Hopefully it is interesting to you all too. But either way, at least in this conversation, it might shed light on how Isaiah 45:7 is meant. :)

will most of the world love you or hate you?

I think if a person obeys the word, most of the world, most of the time will get along with you. However if you try and teach it, there's enough cultures and perspectives that clash with what's taught, clash with it even being taught, that I think it will turn much of the world against you. For those who are called to teach, those who teach when the oppurtunities present themselves to teach. Those who not only try to follow God's word privately, but also acknowledge their faith publicly have a courageous side that does not fear how or where the world will hate them, because of their association with God's teachings.
