Bible Study II Peter 2:1

Dog=gentile
World can also=gentile
Do a quick search for the meanings.

Don't forget, study to show thyself approved.

Jason - Are you suggesting Jesus didn't use the word "dogs?"

Then what POSSIBLY could the woman have meant when she said that even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the children's table.

"Be ye not over wise..."

Lets' get back to the point....

If we assuming our translation of despotes (which also means master, five times used as Lord and five times used as master [1x for divine master, 4x for human]) and agorazo (which means to be in the market place, to attend it, to do business there, buy or sell of idle people: to haunt the market place, lounge there and not redeemed or bought) then Hebrews 10 is wrong in saying that all will be 'perfected for ever them that are sanctified' by the one time offering of the body of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10:10
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
10:11
And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
10:12
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
10:13
From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
10:14
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

How's that?

I'm not saying that other wise, the lady in that passage you are posting of is speaking of gentiles...but I've yet to find a passage that refers to believers as dogs and pigs.

I am still waiting to find out where Jesus calls all non-jews "Dogs".

Evan:

Matthew 15:23-28

"Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.â€Â
24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.â€Â
25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!†she said.
26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs.â€Â
27“Yes, Lord,†she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.â€Â
28Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.†And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

And my Jewish friends complain the NT is anti-semitic!!
