I'm kimberlie ....

Hi!

My name's kimberlie (actually, it's just kim, but I always wished it was kimberlie). I'm 49. This is my first year to be retired from 27 years of teaching school (23 year public and 4 years Christian). It was a blast!

I like talking productively about the Bible with other people. I find it helps me grow. I've taught Sunday School for EVER! I'm currently teaching the 80-95 year old women and have been for about 15 years. It's a joy unspeakable, let me tell you. And on Wednesday nights, I teach music to the 3-year-olds. And I will say this - there ain't much difference in the teaching methodology between Sunday morning and Wednesday night. :D I keep saying that I am going to write a book someday for Christian teachers called From Diapers to Depends.

Don't get me wrong - those blessed women that I teach on Sunday mornings have forgotten more about the Bible than you and I can boast to know right know.

I taught Bible classes at the Christian school and led chapel for 4th-6th graders.

But sometimes I need to just talk to people of my own generation (give or take a decade or so :chin)

Hope to meet a lot of interesting people.

Hi Kim. I have a friend from church by your name and she's been teaching my SS classes (back when I was superintendent) and presently teaches kindergarten. She's 8 years younger than me.... let's see, that makes her about 44 today. :lol (That was not nice of me giving away her age and not mine.)

Anyway, welcome to the board. I love to talk bible here --- and this place is good for a vast diversity of Christian beliefs.

Wow, 49 is an early retirement! It seems way too young to use the word retired for such an age, but I hope you enjoy it and it`s good to have you here.

HA! Well, I use the word "retired" quite loosely. Technically, I do not draw a paycheck anymore and don't do the 9-5 anymore, but I still am busy every single day.

I joke around with my friends and family that I have NO idea when I ever had time to go to work. It's something every single day.

And I still have a part-time job.

I'm also trying to break into the writing business. I've got two books I'm working on and I'm trying to write some every single day.
