I'm new, too

I go by Texas Lynn because I lived there until last summer.

Texas remains in my heart, although I don't miss the corrupt politics there, so I moved to NY to enjoy corrupt politics here.

I'm working for child welfare here just like I did in Texas. But there I had a relatively easy job, doing foster home licensing. Here I'm doing investigations.

We have an eight year old and a six year old.

I was out of the country last year, and one day in the 'world' section of the newspaper was the story of the Democrat legislature leaving the state of Texas so that there wouldn't be a quorum so they couldn't vote on the re-districting of the state! I just thought it was funny that that story was reported in the Indian newspaper! I assume that is what you meant by 'corrupt politics' in your post!
