One thing I do in my spare time is write Christian novels, hoping someday to make some money at this. If I ever get one published, you will all have to buy a copy or two, of course.

I am proof-reading a novel I just finished that I'll then send to a service called Writer's Edge. If they approve it, they'll recommend it to the publishers that subscribe to their service. Here is the re-cap I’m planning to use:

This is a sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, story about a church youth group that decides it wants to form a music group to compete in a music contest, sponsored by a music company, to earn money for an organization that treats children with cancer. They do well in the contest and are offered a recording contract. Soon after, a second contest is held, offering ten times as much prize money, by a Christian cable television channel, and the group decides to compete in this contest also, planning to donate all winnings to the same cancer organization.

Since I am on disability I have all the free time in the world to give to God since I can't work anymore. I usually spend eight hours a day studying my Bible and coming into forums like this. I have been writing a book for the last ten years and have finished it and it's now pending at the publishers. I'm hoping to hear something soon. It's called "MY PEOPLE PERISH ". It's a Bible study guide with various topics of discussion for those who want a deeper understanding of the word of God as the Holy Spirit compares scripture with scripture to bring us into all truths.

What I have posted on my website are just a few of the topics that are in my book. As I have always stated, I never expect people to agree with what I have written, but to clear their minds and allow the Holy Spirit minister the word of God to them through the scriptures. If the book gets published you will be able to find it at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com. A percentage of the proceeds will go to help support a ministry I work with in India and to help support those in need in my community.

And that's my spare time.:study
 
I've always been of the opinion that if someone values a book that they have written then "vanity press" is the first route. I wouldn't expect someone else to invest vast sums in printing without me first investing in a small number of copies to create a tangible paperback that can be evaluated as an existing book and not just a concept. "Vanity Press" may satisfy the artist and would certainly bring joy to family and friends:study:

No. But we have a lot of things in common: soccer, music etc. He is Dani Alves, an FCB defender. He is lovely. And that shows how far away you are from real soccer - football:sad

Bought by Americans - misguided Americans. Thomas Wolve would have to rise from the dead and weep, praying for the redeemption of the States.

Though Best Sellers would sell 11 copies, readers would suffer pangs.

It will be a story about how the whole world can think about nothing but American football for the next thousand years.

Write it to help others, not for self profit. Pray that God guides and directs you in the matter. If you make money great, but leading someone to Christ or strengthening Christians is worth more then money. Keep it Christ centered and no telling what God will do. Not saying making money is a bad thing, just keep God first.

Writing began as a hobby. At some point I began writing Christian novels. It seems a pointless activity unless I make an effort to have them published. I could use the extra money.
