The red flag laws seem to add little apart from being specific to guns. The point being, I guess, that Chicken Littles like Tucker Carlson can make fairly standard laws sound like the draconian End of All Our Civil Rights, but seldom do things work out that way on the ground. I actually used to watch Tucker every night because he undeniably has charisma, but I realized his nonsense was becoming like a virus that was eating away at my rational thought processes.

I'm not a fan of red flag but let's say ,I myself who has PTSD ,and I own guns ,I decide to take my life and my wife calls the sheriff ,they shouldn't remove me and secure my guns until Im good?

The army already has regs on its own for that .you can't store your own gun on person or base ,you store it in their armory .go south mentally and you won't get your gun until cleared .
