I'm glad they are taking extra precautions to protect people this holiday. I just sat on my back porch and watched the displays set off by my neighbors. They are very active in this area. Impressive sound effects.

A few years ago, a tree fell on a car and killed the driver about 5 miles from my home. Last year a tree fell on my neighbors car and crippled him for life, but he didnt die.
I dont like driving when storms blow in. It scares me! I mean, look at the timing that needs to take place for a tree to fall on a moving car out in the country where there is hardly any traffic!

I know what you mean, I don't like going outside when it's really windy or thunder storming either since there are so many trees around here. By the way, I just realized that I made a mistake before, the high school graduate died from being stabbed not shot. Either way, I'm sending my thoughts and prayers towards her family and friends. :pray

"Deadly conduct." Apparently 'attempted murder with a de-rattled rattlesnake' is too rare to have it's own charge, even in Texas.

Kinda surprising that deadly conduct is just a misdemeanor, yes.
