http://fox8.com/2018/03/14/students-to-walk-out-nationwide-protesting-gun-violence/

That's all for today's news until next time. :)

I don't blame students for trying to do something about violence and bullying.

I know, me neither. I just hope that they aren't being taught that guns themselves are the problem. I posted another thread about this walkout too.

Welcome to another of edition of "In Today's News." So we start off today's news with a story about a bartender being sentenced for the death of a woman who fell of the bar's balcony last year on Saint Patrick's Day. Let that be a lesson to all of you lads and lassies. Be very cautious and careful on how much you drink this year. Especially before you get behind the wheel.

And here's just a head's up to all of you parents and grandparents. It's time to use up all of your gift cards and other rewards since Toys R Us has officially announced that it's going out of business.

http://fox8.com/2018/03/15/toys-r-u...other-rewards-to-be-honored-for-next-30-days/

They had an unsafe railing on the balcony.

If you build a house, make sure to put a low wall around the edge of the flat roof. Then if someone falls off the roof and is killed, it won't be your fault. Deuteronomy 22:8 NCV

True, I was just basically stating the effects of too much alcohol. But since you pointed out that they had an unsafe balcony then it would be their fault that she fell,.. but I don't remember seeing that in the article that I just skimmed, (I haven't really had time to read it yet for myself) unless they stated it in the video.

Edit; It also appears that she was underage.

One violation, 381.04, states "the illegal use of non-compliant railings that are deemed unsafe... Cease use of 1st and 2nd fl. immediately."

The railing was in an article that your article linked to. She was not 21 yet.

http://fox8.com/2018/03/15/stray-dog-nurses-five-orphaned-pups-after-mother-dies-in-labor/

And finally in today's news, talk about painful. This story made me cringe just reading it. Millennials are replacing engagement rings with diamonds embedded in their fingers,.. ouch! That's got to hurt. :screwloose2

http://fox8.com/2018/03/16/millenni...ings-with-diamonds-embedded-in-their-fingers/

That's all for today's news and I hope that everybody has a great Saint Patrick's Day tomorrow. Have fun, stay safe, and may the luck of the Irish be with you. :biggrin
