In what country do you live?

Actually, the center of the world is in the middle of the ocean, but Ghana is the closest country. That's only on the surface, of course. The center of the earth has two access points - one volcano in Iceland and another one in Italy.

It is. 0 degrees latitude and 0 degrees longitude is just south east of the southern-most tip of the coast of Ghana. ("Just" being about 570 km / 350 miles.)

Found this on YouTube from some tourists recent Sydney trip. It's pretty cool, but it doesn't do Sydney justice as it's so diverse. 12,000 square kilometres of diverse.

Love that pedestrian sign at 0:28. :lol

The video is the typical stuff tourists shoot pictures/ movies of. Okay the music of that video was even worse than the music of the video that I posted in this thread. But it's still and awesome video.

:lol
Nice how you mention that it is 2-1/2 times the size of Texas. Those of us that are not Texan love it when this happens as we know how those Texans are about size. :tongue :lol
From The province of BC (in Canada) - I believe about 3x the size of Texas

I think the news is playing jokes on us. I just cannot see how this little island i live on is recognised as the most 'socially advanced' in the world. LOL.

If NZ is anything like AUS maybe they mean the most "social security advanced ". We are a bit of a welfare society. lol

Social Progress Imperative, a think-tank based in Washington, has ranked New Zealand as the number one nation out of 130 countries. New Zealand bested other countries based on 54 social progress indicators including personal rights and freedoms
