...what do you think will happen to the muslima elected Miss USA? Not only did she walk around mostly naked in full view of the world, but those pictures of her and the pole are most repulsive.

Muslims always accuse Christians of doing that sort of thing. They have no clue that this is impossible for those who walk with Christ.

I'm not going to link to her, since I do not wish to look at it. :o

You should spend some time here in Michigan. The media is running to her defense as if she had been physically attacked. They've had updates in the news nearly every day since she was crowned.

If she wasn't a Muslim Arab would it be such a big deal?

I think if anyone dug hard enough in anyone's life they could probably bring something light that others would condemn.

All of the photos of the Miss USA contestants were disgusting on the website. They all looked like audition photos for a porno. Even though I have read articles on the controversy surrounding the winner, I also read one article that said the girl's worst photos were actually the ones taken by the contest. Can we blame her personally when the entire contest is centered around the business selling of woman's bodies?

From my understanding, the girl was not actually raised Muslim... her family is said to have celebrated both Muslim and Christian holidays. I would guess her family is no different than those people who call themselves "Christian" yet also do not live it, only for her family it was "Muslim."

Anyhow, I do not believe that she is a victim, nor do I believe that the "blame" should fall exclusively on her. Anyone who looks at the contest website would see what I mean by porno audition photos. Yes, these girls choose to enter competitions like this and to "sell" their bodies in this manner... but why point fingers solely at the winner for the problem? At the same time, I think it is wrong to point to her as a "muslimah" when she is clearly not living or acting in the manner of a muslimah. If it was a "Christian" girl, everyone would be quick to denounce her as a Christian and to say that no Christian would act in such a manner (just as Ahuli commented in the first post of this thread). Let's not make point fingers at other religions in this manner when our own often suffers the same problem.

i will make a point not to look at here. too recent from my deliverence from porn. and satan still tempts me in that area.

S&L, she entered a local radio contest to poll-dance at a strip club. I don't believe full nudity was part of this, but it was poll dancing at a strip club. In case this still hasn't settled in, She was dancing at a strip club and pole dancing. I don't think you'll find too many Miss USA winners who have sunk to this depth.

There was the Miss California winner who lost her crown. She was Christian and under a lot of scrutiny, first for her answer to the question and then (if memory is correct) there were some racy photos.

I don't think there's a double standard going on here except that the Christian winner was crucified in the media, and this one seems to be cast as the victim. This one hasn't lost her crown, like the Christian Miss California did.

And once again you missed my whole point. Are you upset that a 'Christian' winner lost here crown and the 'Muslim' winner is still Miss USA? I was simply pointing out the fact that if somebody dug back through my life I'm sure they could post something that the rest of the world would condemn me for so why does that apply differently for her? Who decides what the media reports, us. Aren't all 'sins' equal? Is your life without 'sin'? 'Let him who is without sin cast the first stone'.

cheers

Honestly, I really don't care about these pageants. I don't care that Miss USA still has her crown. I was bothered that when Miss California answered the question on gay marriage consistent with her faith, which was asked by an ultra-liberal gay blogger, she was demonized by the media. It seemed very calculated that the person who asked the question had his own agenda and used the moment to call her out. And since I don't follow these pageants, I wouldn't have known about it if there wasn't all the fallout. My problem is the with media which turns a blind eye and even defends certain people but train their guns on conservative Christians.

Because of what she's undertaken. Public figures are all put under the microscope more than you and me. If a politician decides he/she wants to run for office, they'd better be ready to have their history combed over with a fine-tooth comb.

If I'm not wrong, I think you're one of the ones supporting the "conspiracy theories" thread. Would you consider it a stretch that network media is liberal as is the mainstream media? While talk radio is dominated by conservative hosts, network/mainstream media appears very bent on their liberal agenda, IMO. So, no, I don't believe it is "us" who decides what the media reports necessarily.

As far as the "cast the first stone" routine, I'll revert back to my comment about those in the public limelight. I'm not concerned with throwing stones at her. I'm interested and concerned that the media demonizes one and runs to the defense of the other.

Hope I was more to your point this time. :yes

Being physically attacked would be my concern. Muslimas have been killed for far less.

Muslim Arab is the issue. As for digging into the lives of Christians, etal? The bible is filled with stories of what happens when Christ comes into a life. After that, the former things are passed away. You understand? Yes?

Yes, I can blame her, and anyone else who purports one thing but does another.

She is of age, the blame is on her. I doubt anyone twisted her arm or any other part of her body.

What problem?

Do you know how islam works? Loads of converts, those who are born muslims, are always muslims, regardless of how they view themselves. Islam is mistakenly called a religion. It is a way of life and a political system. Do some research.

The Christian girl does not expose her body to create sinful thoughts in others. The girl who does that is called something else.

What can we do about double-standards? I question the Christianity of the California girl. Surely she knows the lusting thoughts she creates in the human mind, both male and female, by exposing her body.
I spent many years teaching Christ to young adults. One question I asked quite often is this .... "when you go off to do something, can you take Jesus with you to do it?" I was surprised sometimes about the answers, but mostly they understood.

When we deliberately walk with Christ, willful sin is much more difficult. The way back to HIM, becomes more difficult the more often we willfully sin, choose iniquity.

No one said her arm was twisted to participate, but unlike you I place blame for pornography, prostitution, and other avenues of selling ones body on a much larger scale. I don't believe in pointint the finger at one individual and holding them responsible for the sins of all. She is accountable only for her own sins, but not for the entire contest. Why point a finger solely at her? Why not point fingers at each contestant and ask "what do you think will become of this one, or this one, or that one?" Your finger is pointed only at one of many. Why single her out? Because she is "muslim"?

If there is no problem then why make this thread? I thought that was the point of this thread. I suppose I was wrong. I guess I honestly didn't realize the point of this thread was to throw stones at one individual for the sins of many.

Perhaps you should do some research. According to Islam we are ALL born muslim. That is why someone who comes back to the faith is called a revert (not convert). Also, a person is not "always" a muslim. Look up apostacy in Islam. It is entirely possible for an individual to turn his back on Islam and to no longer be a follower.

Same with Islam... and thank you for demonstrating my point. If it was a Christian you would be quick to denounce her as one, but since it is a "muslim" you are fast to point a finger. The message of Islam is just as much against this as the message of Christianity (if not much moreso).

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone....do we forget how NO christian is perfect....the way we judge and condemn here is enough to makke me puke.

According to islam, non-islam is dhimmi. I'm non-islam and will continue non-islam. And frankly, I don't care what islam says I am. :rolling

The message of islam is for muslims, therefore, don't call a girl like that muslim if she is anything but.

However, I am not a fan of islam, regardless of the grade of the muslim.

Puking can be cathartic. Hope everything comes out alright. After which, I hope you get the point of the effort made in the OP.

ahuli i think that you take way to much joy in the fall of this woman.
i have been addicted to porn and know of its appeal, i feel for those in the industry and those caught in that lie. for if they fail to repent hell will be there home. its sad really. i take no joy in her or others falling to sin and reaping the consequences.

lord save this woman from hell, and let her be a new convert.
