I believe it is. If you do not think so, please provide scripture.
I'm hoping to settle this matter.
Hand, eye, foot are used as figurative language to describe sin.
These are the instruments on our body we use to sin, but hell spoken of is literal.

Mark 9:43-48 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. [44] 45And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. [46] 47And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, 48where “ ‘the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.’

I believe hell is forever. un believers are conscious there forever. Do you hold the position of a hell that is forever but the people there are not conscious? Just curious

Yes,hell is for an eternity.Just as heaven is for an eternity for Christians.

Yes,it is a conscious existence.I have always believed that there is a degree of punishment in hell just as believers get different reward in heaven.I do not believe that the sweet little grandma who did not believe but lived a nice life will get the same punishment as Hitler.Don't get me wrong. It is all very, very bad.

jeff77 No, they are definitely aware of all that is going on..'the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.’

I do not believe that the dead who were not believers are in hell right now.Hell is reserved for after the millennium when the White Throne Judgment will take place.Unbelievers and Satan and his followers will be thrown into the eternal fire of hell.I believe that those who are not believers are waiting in a waiting area known as hades right now awaiting their judgment.

I don't think scripture mentions the words "waiting area" though. Do you have scripture for waiting area.

"Waiting area" is only my terminology. In Luke 16: 22-23 talks about the unbelievers.Sheol is the place of the unbelievers in the OT.Hades is the same place but the name of it in the NT.
Revelation 20:11-15 describes all the unbelievers being resurrected.

Luke 16 parable is a fictional story Kathi, using real places to describe our relationship with God.

It is in the Bible.Nothing in the Bible is fictional.
Jesus' Parables were stories that were "cast alongside" a truth in order to illustrate that truth.

Hades is only used once as a place of torment in the entire Bible and that's Luke 16 parable, the rest of the Bible it is referring to the grave. Why is that.

I don't know.Why don't you find out for me?

I've already told you why. Luke 16 parable is a fictional story using real places to describe our relationship with God.

You have the right to believe as you choose.

"Parable or not, Jesus plainly used this story to teach that after death the unrighteous are eternally separated from God, that they remember their rejection of the Gospel, that they are in torment, and that their condition cannot be remedied."

Yup and this happens right after the Great White Throne Judgment after the 1000 year reign.

Where do you think the unbelievers are now who have died?Where do you think the believers are now who have died?

They are both in the grave/Hades. Hades is Greek for grave.
