Bible Study is it normal to preach the gospel in the street? what are the benefits and consequences?

Amen... Sheep that beget sheep must look after them and see they are nourished in the faith.

It has been reported that of the many that had gone forward at Billy Grahams crusades, and steered to the many churches, that one year later less than one% were still in attendance in a church...
Even if it's less than 1% that 1% are the lost sheep that have been found.

Luke 15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Or they could just end up religious church goers.

My granddmother was a Presbyterian for over 70 years, but when I asked her how one makes heaven their home.her answer was............" If you are real good !"

The just do not need to repent, but only believe.Only God knows our heart.
Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Are you saying that "repenting" one makes heaven their home?

I like the idea of street preaching, but when aI hear it being done the only preaching I hear about is is he'll and brimstone talks. Sometimes not even trying to reach people (which I think should be the purpose of those), but instead is a group standing up in a protest like fashion pointing to anyone coming by and harshly mock them then tell them they are going to hell.

This is the stuff that gets the news. Maybe it's largely the only kind of public preaching. I hope not though. Spreading the word and the gospel as actual good news is something that needs to be done more.

...the other problem with street preaching is making sure you're safe while doing it. Nowadays it seems that people are proud of their intolerance and hatred. And if a message is said that people are against, depending on who is around it might get fierce.

Be safe, and be lead. But use any opportunity God gives us. Because who knows? A failure in public might still reach someone.

repenting is just a process
You do know that the jews had reason to repent for their breaking of the law,but what did the gentile have to repent for, they didn't have the Law. The jews who wanted repentance were to receive the baptism in water, and to bring fruit that which was worthy of repentance. Which was tears.
But what did the gentile have to repent for?

we repent turn from our sins...Godly sorrow brings repentance

And so does the Salvation Army. They preach before the homeless can sit down to eat. But how many get born of water , and the Spirit?
one plants one waters God gives the increase we only give the message church sign read fishers of men we catch them God cleans them .there aint a preacher alive who has saved a man or woman

One plants, but is it in good soil.

All have sinned. Actually I think it says that anyone who says they haven't, is a liar.

Can't speak for your sins. But I am also a gentile. I know many of my sins. Short temper and easily agaitated, lustful eyes, pride and centered around myself instead of others.

Some have gotten easier as I've gotten older. They all get easier with God's help. But they are there. Sins are there. With both Jews and the gentiles.

And just where did you hear that those were sins???
