I would assume given his geographic location that he had a similar skin tone to those in Middle Eastern nations such as Iraq/Iran, etc....so brown could be a fair assessment :yes

I would like to call it ruddy but not brown - which is a reddish brown (or the color of blood).

Jesus of Nazareth, the historical Jesus, was a physical manifestation of God in the land of the Jews 2000 years ago. I'm sure he would have had eastern Mediterranean Semitic features. I doubt that God would appear as a blond blue-eyed Swede when manifesting Himself to the Jews of that time.

Jesus the Christ, the risen Lord, is consubstantial with Elohim, creator God of the universe, and no longer in human physical form.

I agree with you that Divinity manifest in the flesh would resemble the Jews of his time. I disagree that he is "no longer in human physical form". When God "so loved that he gave" (John 3:16), it wasn't just for 33-1/2 years ... it was for eternity. I believe that when Jesus said he had to go away so that the Comforter could come and be present with every person (John 16:7) it was because Jesus' humanity (albeit glorified humanity) could no longer do so. I do not believe that during the 40 days Jesus spent with his disciples before returning to heaven, his flesh and bone body (Luke 24:39) was just a "front". He was raised with a glorified human body, and when the angel told the disciples that this same Jesus will return (Acts 1:11) and since John says that when Jesus returns we will be like him (1 John 3:2), I belief that means Jesus retained his glorified physical body and we will retain our bodied in glorified form as well.

I also do not believe that we will lose our personal features when we are glorified as Paul says he will be recognized just as he recognizes others (1 Cor. 13:12). Besides, the world around us proves that God loves variety ... if he didn't, we would have one very uninteresting, boring world. Imagine every bird looking exactly like a robin; every flower a yellow dandelion; every tree a weeping willow; every animal resembling a brown dog; every person looking exactly like you or me.

I do believe that Adam and Eve were created with a skin color that is no longer known here on earth, the color that Jesus is now described as having... the color of jasper or sardius. I've looked at jasper and sardius and they are red, but with both brown and golden tones. It's a beautiful color, but not one that I can pinpoint to any skin type that I know of.

I've come to believe that the skin tones we have now are just nothing more than micro-evolution at work... once Noah and family disembarked and began to spread throughout the world, exposure to the environment slowly changed the skin tones. Which goes along with what I've always believed, that there is no such thing as "race"... We are all simply one race, human, with a variety of skin tones. The idea that there are separate types of human, based on skin tone is really ridiculous once one really thinks that through.

lol he posted a messianic jewish site that i have used for His name. i should post the gemetria of the YHWH and the five names that are called his name as well but even then its still YHWH.

You seem to be simple-mindedly obsessing over unimportant details, and missing the point of my post. The Jews, and pre-Jewish peoples of the area, had several different ways of referring to different characterisitcs of God, and what you think is the "revealed, personal name of God" is irrelevant to my post. You should refer back to my post and see that I talked of "the creator God of the universe" which is precisely what the authors of Genesis were talking about in the creation story, and the word they used for the creator God is Elohim.

The fact that you "lol" about the linked source, rather than simply trying to explain your point indicates that you've already lost your argument, and know it.

i get the info from another poster who has gone to the jews themselves! elohim is borrowed name and being jewish i can also look at my tanach. in exodus where it says in exodus 6:3... but by My name is referenced to the tegrammation and it has a foot nate saying the the ineffiable name read adonai which means the LORD. yet our bible says this Jehovah or LORD GOD. i made that mistake you make to the jews and was told the same. elohim isnt plural but a singualur word meaning GOD. it also means what stove says.

Why is it that you can't understand that there are different historically legitimate descriptive ways of referring to God's nature and characteristics in both the Greek and Hebrew writings? Insisting that there's only one way to refer to God - when speaking about specific ways He interacts with the world - seems obsessively anal and juvenile to me.

I doubt God gives a hoot about using a single word to to describe Him. God exists outside time and space and is, after all, ineffable, which means incapable of being expressed or described in words
