Consider John 17:21 Where Jesus Says : " Father, I Pray, that they can BE ONE. As you are in me and i am in you , i pray that they can be ONE IN US. Then the world will believe that you sent me. "

Here Jesus is praying that his disciples can be one in him and the Father. One is what: undoubtebly in purpose.

Why not identity? (of a kind) Why not the "deification" or "divinization", of the Eastern Orthodox?

St. Simeon Neotheologos-

"We become Christ's limbs or members, and Christ becomes our members... Unworthy though I be, my hand and foot are Christ, for God's divinity is united inseparably to me. I move my foot, and lo! it glows like God himself."
