Is Joel Osteen A Christian ?

reply

I don't know Peter Popoff. I have heard that Tilton is a Prophet and an expert about end times.

May God bless, golfjack

What is your opinion on Peter Popoff and Robert Tilton
They are WOF preachers as well.
Well Tilton, I never trusted, and Popoff' have seen him on TV more than a few times, and I really don't know. But back to Joel, there is more to the Bible than, just Jesus rising from the dead. The Bible teaches you how to live. And that is Joel's anointing' from God. Don't you all know that God' anoints some to teach certain things' real well. People need to hear things about where they are in life' in other words something that they can identify with. For instance a depressed Christian. A drug addict Christian. A unforgiving Christian. A nasty attitude Christian. A confused Christian. A low self esteem Christian. Get the picture.
Joel is anointed in these areas' to help the Body of Christ. So I will say it again' I love the guy' and will continue to watch and listen to him. He has never told me nothing wrong. Joyce Myers is another one that I get a lot out of. Why ? Because she teaches about life, and a lot of what she has been through' I can identify with. Many don't like her' but I don't care. I like her. People are always putting people down' when some need to look in the mirror. God gives these preachers messages that saves lives. And I am not just talking about' Salvation. So the thing is' ok now I am saved' but now what. I don't know how to live' I don't know how to get my past garbage off of me. I don't know how to forgive my dad for leaving me' I hate my boss. If my co worker says one more thing to me I will kill him. Get the picture. These are the things that Joyce and Joel are anointed to get into.

There is no dought that Joel has taught somethings that I don't believe, but I will also say, that he has encouarged me many times. I also was reading that he did make a clear statement and repented for what he said on the Larry King show, so as far as I am concerned its all good. Since he repented and has said Jesus is the way, the truth and life, atleast he is not a flase teacher anylonger.

Since I was critical of him publically, I wanted to appologize to him publically.

It all sounds like Joel was trying to stay out of a heated debate. If Joel would have said No the Jews are not going to Heaven. He would have been accused of blasphemy. When Larry King asked about atheists, I find Joels responce to be out of humility

Joel
You know what, I'm going to let someone -- I'm going to let God be the judge of who goes to heaven and hell. I just -- again, I present the truth, and I say it every week. You know, I believe it's a relationship with Jesus. But you know what? I'm not going to go around telling everybody else if they don't want to believe that that's going to be their choice. God's got to look at your own heart. God's got to look at your heart, and only God knows that.

But then again. This is only my interpretation of all this.

Atonement, let me ask you a question, what if you're Jewish or Muslim, you don't accept Christ at all, when you die will you go to heaven? Do you have to believe in Christ to get to heaven?

I ask already knowing your answers. Osteen is supose to be a minister of the Gospel and he couldn't answer these questions...political answers just don't cut it.

This is true, that he did not did not answer these questions, but I don't think it was because he "couldn't" answer these questions. I think out of love he was trying to be humble and did not want a heated debate, therefore he was ridiculed and questioned about his ministry. I think that if Joel had to do it all over again, it would not be the same Joel sitting in that seat..

Joel is very humble' and he would not think it's robbery to back down' out of something. He always tries to keep peace.

Well, I got the victory-now I'm going for the mansion! Tomorrow, maybe a Rolls:-D

Perhaps you can get Creepy Dollar to give you one of his.

Creflo Dollar teaching on the God/man

Over the last several years there have been many new disciples of the Copeland and Hagin camp that have entered on the scene with the prosperity message. In my opinion there has been none more blatant or conniving (and convincing) than Creflo Dollar. He may be called Dr. but listening to his teachings it is apparent his degree in theology was not acquired at a normal conservative Bible seminary. This man is on the leading edge of star trek Bible interpretations, taking it where no man has gone before. His influence is clearly from his mentor Kenneth Copeland; he appears fairly regularly on his TV program. According to J. Lee Grady, an editor with Charisma Magazine, Copeland provided Dollar with financial backing. Mr. Dollar has certainly been discipled well under Copeland’s influence. He is preaching word faith to the MAX! If one were to close their eyes and listen, they can barely tell between Creflo and Copeland’s voice inflections and personality. I’m sure he would take this as a compliment. Simply put-Creflo is regurgitated Copeland (and Hagin).

His teachings are based on and his spiritual mentor Kenneth Copeland, who according to J. Lee Grady, an editor with Charisma Magazine had provided Dollar with his financial backing (source from Atlanta Journal-Constitution - John Blake March 5, 2000 Dollar and the Gospel http://www.rickross.com/reference/funda ... und40.html )

Creflo Dollars TV and radio broadcast is called “Changing Your World.†His programs are broadcast in every state and in over 15 countries outside the U.S by the Trinity broadcasting Network and Lesea network. He is often videoed wearing three-piece charcoal pinstriped suit as he preaches his message of prosperity as the hope of the gospel to his church.

He is the Pastor of World Changers Christian Center, a non-denominational church in College Park (meeting in a $6.5 million gold dome). Creflo says he paid 18 million in cash for his new facility (Changing your world Feb. 25, 2002, LeSea). It contains 8,000 plush theater-style seats making it comfortable for the people as his sermons can go up to two hours. (A huge white plastic container for offerings is positioned at the end of each row (source from Atlanta Journal-Constitution). “the Atlanta church's operating budget is $80 million a year†[Source: The Hamilton Spectator, January 21, 2006, Dollar and the almighty buck By Michael Luo The New York Times service NEW YORK (Jan 21, 2006)

The church consists of 23,000 members making it metro Atlanta's second-largest church.

Creflo has two Rolls-Royce’s (which he tells his congregation was given to him -- the church purchased the first one for him). He flies in a $5 million private jet to his speaking engagements in the US to Europe (the church also owns a Gates Learjet. Estimated value: $985,000). Dollar met his wife at West Georgia College in Carrollton and graduated in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in education. They have five children, three girls and two boys. He lives in a $1 million home behind iron gates in an upscale Atlanta neighborhood and owns another worth $1.27 million). The church has amassed a fortune in real estate, mostly in College Park. Like other word faith teachers Dollar is often accompanied by bodyguards in public. (reference is http://www.accessatlanta.com/partners/a ... /main.html )
