Is John one of the two witness?

How could John literally measure a Temple in Jerusalem that was destroyed in 70AD when he was being held a prisoner on the isle of Patmos in Asia Minor being arrested for preaching the word of God, Rev 1:9. The word Jerusalem is not mentioned in Rev 11:1-2. Scripture says nothing about a Temple in Jerusalem for at the time of John's writings that make up the book of Revelation he was residing in Ephesus, Turkey where he is buried.

Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

He did not literally measure but is speaking about Jerusalum with a temple and the gentiles outside the city who have no temple would tread the city for 3.5 years.

What do you believe the Temple of God is spoken of in Rev 11:1-2.
