Growth Is Religion the Worst Enemy of Mankind?

sorry, I doing this to make a point. by saying and changing the meaning of religion to what you say it is. it would be good thing if it could fly. we could then allow a lot of things in the schools as its not a religion but its not true! do you and your church not have an order means of baptism? communion? that is a rite like it or not and if they have rites they are by definition a religion. not alone of course, a religion has a diety, yes. we have God and his triune nature. a holy writ(bible). we also have other things that make us by definition a religion. that is all im saying. if you said this. our faith is simple in that we have few rites and its based on a relationship with jesus that is akin to marriage. and then defined how and why its like a marriage there would be no argument from me. ever wonder why god says his name is Jealous? its because at Horeb he married isreal there and said if you cheat on me watch out. I will avenge myself far worse then anything you have seen. he also said this is what I want, read it, speak it to your kids and most of do it.

the funny thing is that jesus told them they were (Pharisees) were loving other things then god and tried to bring the nation of isreal back to the torah. they rejected him. in his instructions he said do this or that and made it simple. if its love do it as that will show me that you do love me. that is found in the torah. the torah was more complicated then what we have but not as complicated as the church in ignorance has made the law to be.No I am not saying we should be jews just that its good to know what the torah was and what it was meant to do and why jesus had to come and what he said to the jews of his day.

Not the standard evangelical advice today, right? if people have marital problems...

What I meant was, the standard advice among evangelicals (not universal, but widespread) seems to be: If your spouse continues to misbehave, just get a divorce and marry someone else...

Not what God had in mind for Hosea, to whom God wanted to teach patience as a picture of divine longsuffering towards those in testamental bonds with Him...

ugh, well since we went there. that is the truth. we should try to be the husband or spouse even when they aren't .ok lord I know what you mean.
