I believe the signs given in rev 11 must take place before the 2nd coming. Jesus returns on the last day, and He puts down the beast. Rev 16:15 A coming of the Lord. The bowl judgments are the last of Gods judgments and are the judgments that plunge the beast's kingdom into darkness. So, Jesus's coming on the last day ends all tribulation.

The Second coming will never be imminent. The whole world is at war. The Antichrist has to manifest himself first, once he signs the covenant with the Jews, you can start your clock then, go 7 years, and Christ returns. The battle of Armageddon will be in progress. There is many fulfillment prophecies that will have to take place before the Second Coming. Only the Rapture is imminent, there are no preceding signs that must take place.

Yes, "behold, I'm coming quickly" and "the time is short" is an inaccurate translation, the Greek word "tachy" (ταχύ) means "rapidly, swiftly, speedily instantaneously" rather than "quickly, imminent, shortly or soon".

When Jesus returns WITH his saints there will be un-mistakeable signs. But what you are missing is that Jesus first comes FOR his saints at the Rapture--which can happen at ANY TIME. Even Paul acknowledged this when he stated "WE shall not all sleep, but WE will all be changed" (1 Cor. 15:51). He used the word "WE" because he wasn't sure WHEN the Rapture would take place. (see also 1 Thess. 4:13)---both of these scriptures refer to a generation of people who will not die ("sleep") but will be changed in "the twinkling of an eye". The Rapture is a REAL teaching of Scripture---but can only be understood if one sees that Jesus' return will be in (2) phases: "FOR his saints" ("as a thief")---and 2nd phase "WITH his saints" ("every eye shall see him"). That is where the confusion lies--we must see the two phases or we will be very confused.
