is sola scripture (sp?) such a good idea?

Something to think about......i herd that in 1999, the Lutheran church and the Catholic church settled their differences and that it was settled in Martin Luther's favor. That the only to be saved it to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as savior. Wow talk about reconciliation.
Do you have any kind of link or documentation of that. I've never heard of that despite the fact that my Ex-wife's family are died in the wool Catholics and my mom's side of the family were all devout Lutherans plus I have at least 3 friends that are Lutheran pastors. I think this would be great news if true.

the schism isn't settled. its not. the Vatican 2 allowed a lot of healing but the old if you aren't a catholic then you aren't part of the church is still found in the walls of the church.

on st. Helens the original church is found to the north , to the north building I circled
A wood frame church was completed in December of 1919. Father Gabriel celebrated Mass every Sunday until poor health forced him to retire in 1926. This original church is now located just north of the Christian Living Center and currently serves as our kindergarten classroom

I remember when they modified that from the wooden building that was there to the two story building that covers the older one. it was in the late 70's

Maybe things have not adjusted fully, but it's a start. And gives room for God to move.
