Is the devil really Ugly?

Moses saw God; God revealed a part of His body to Moses. Moses, being so secretive, refused to tell man;(

God forbade him? I wonder what he saw.:dunno:shrug
His hind end. Think I'm kidding?

The point of the story is it's only in Christ that we see the full revelation of God, not in Moses and the law.

Exo 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
Exo 33:21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
Exo 33:22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
Exo 33:23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

God told Moses that he could see Gods back parts only as God placed Moses in the crevices to shield him as he passed by him as no one could see his face and live. Gods back parts that we still see today as Moses saw then is Gods grace and mercy on his people that even though we might not be able to see God we always know that he is always with us as his word says he will never leave us or forsake us, Hebrews 13:5. (IMO)

Hi, there are three of the Lords body parts there, that we were created in Their image of, that is mentioned.

Good verse, for we find in Gen. 1 God talking with another Equal with an image who was immortal. (no angels.. who are ministering created 'spirits') Then of course we have God saying that He is spirit.. Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost.

So as 'i' see it, these instances of some here as they tell of, are [evil spirits]. So they best watch their step!

--Elijah

PS: I forgot to say that 'i' underlined in your posted verse!

Satan puts on whatever face he chooses. Sometimes he is the nicest person you ever met. His goal always is to put you into a situation where he can torture you.

Satan's back parts are deceit, temptations and lies

Gods back parts are Salvation, mercy and grace

It amazes me that something created so beautiful and was intrusted with so much as Lucifer had so much favor in God then turn around and deem himself higher than God as becoming his own god. Do we thank the giver or do we thank what has been given us to take pride over the material, but reject the one who gave. I'll let you think on that one!

Ezekiel 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Ezekiel 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Ezekiel 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Ezekiel 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isaiah 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Isaiah 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known. (John 1:17-18 NIV1984)

6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. (2 Cor. 4:6 NIV1984)

7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. (John 14:7-9 NIV1984)

Christ is the image of God, the image of grace and mercy, that we were not allowed to see in the law.

"...through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39 Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses." (Acts 13:38-39 NIV1984)
