IS THE END OF THE WORLD NEAR

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "THE END OF THE WORLD." READ SOMETHING BSIDES THE KJV AND YOU WILL SEE THAT IT SHOULD READ "THE END OF THE AGE."
"AGE" BEING A PERIOD OF TIME OF NORMALLY UNKNOWN DURATION.
THERE IS A NEED TO USE A COMPLETE BIBLE CONCORDANCE. IT IS NOT DIFFICULT. ANYONE CAN DO IT. ANYWAY, THE GREEK WORD IS "AION", NOT "KOSMOS."

WE ARE IN THIS AGE OR "EON" (TO TRANSLITERATE THE GREEK INTO ENGLISH), THAT JESUS REFERS TO MANY TIMES, AND WE ARE TOLD THAT IT WILL END, AND BE FOLLOWED BY THE AGE TO COME

FOR EXAMPLE: "...BUT WHOEVER SPEAKS AGIANST THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN , EITHER IN THIS AGE OR IN THE AGE TO COME." MATT.12:32, NRSV.

IMO, THIS AGE ENDS WITH THE DAY OF THE LORD AND JESUS' RETURN TO EARTH AS MESSIAH, TO DEFEAT HIS ENEMIES AND RESCUE HIS PEOPLE ISRAEL, AND ESTABLISH HIS KINGDOM. THE NEXT AGE WILL BE THE MILLENNIUM (THE ONE AGE GIVEN A TIME DURATION).

THE CHURCH/BODY OF CHRIST IS A SPECIAL CALLED OUT GROUP WITH SPECIAL BLESSINGS, NOT KNOWN IN GENERATIONS PAST, BUT REVEALED TO THE APOSTLE PAUL, AS WE READ IN HIS EPISTLES. IT'S FUTURE IS TO SHARE THE BLESSINGS GOD HAS PREPARED IN THE HEAVENLIES, WITNESSING TO THE PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS IN THE HEAVENLIES. SEE EPH. CHAPS. 1-3.
THE CHURCH/BODY WILL BE CAUGHT UP TO THE HEAVENLIES PRIOR TO THE DAY OF THE LORD.

Except I am not scoffing. I want it to happen. I want Christ to return. I anticipate it. I have joy knowing he is going to return and each day brings us closer to that. Thanks though for judging my motivation with out asking. Once again we are one day closer to his return. I am crossing my fingers and hoping it happens today. Christians need to lighten up a little bit. If you can not have a sense of humor then that is sad thing. Jesus had a great sense of humor. Just read the parables and how he talked to the religious of his day.

No worries man. I know that in reading type it is hard to discern the meaning. We can not see the persons expression or know the tone in which they type something. But you are correct in that there are a lot of scoffers in the world today. Many even among the church.

Of course I'm sure. The world of mankind is not going to end, be consummated, perish, or what phrase you want to use. It is true, a hugh number will perish from the plagues and woes set forth by the Lord God. And all in the armies that gather at Armageddon, and then march to Jerusalem will be destroyed by the word of Christ Jesus mouth. But, there must still be a large number of the nations, as well as the Israelites who survived.

The return to the earth of Messiah Jesus in power and glory, to defeat his enemies and rescue his people, Israel, will be at the end of this age. As King of kings and Lord of lords, Christ Jesus will set forth the day of Jehovah which lasts at least 1000 years. This will be the age to come.

Only beginning of a new world. I belive great things are comming.
