But...just off of the cuff...I would say that ANY group trying to organize churches on a global level, sadly, merits suspicion from all.

Imputation as an accounting process by God in his judgment hall is ridiculed. Man's ability is being championed in the name of Jesus, like the boasting of Goliath.

Unitarianism is slowly strangling the seminarian trained preachers. They do not know that the leviathan that dwells in the sea is swallowing them. Seminarian trained ministers are more comfortable with the fellowship of prosperous and educated unbelievers than they are with the simple, uneducated and sometimes fanatical common laboring believers. Modern day Judases are uncomfortable with modern day zealots like Peter who are ready to pull out their swords to solve the immediate problem. Though from the historical example of the garden of Gethsemane we can see that the Judas will be kissing their master in betrayal as the Peter will be pulling out his sword. Jesus will speak to each today, in their heart and mind, as he did then. Smite the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered.

Probably not x3. I see the world council of churches as a more inaffectual body in terms of power and influence and like many such endeavours, probably short of a quid. (dollar) It is one thing for prophesy to be fulfilled, and quite another for an interpretation of a prophesy to be fulfilled. Globalisation is suffering major blows in the current economic crisis so historically this translates as yet another anticlimax to many projected end time scenarios. This is tongue in cheek - it is possible that the US is not the center stage of the world in end time scenarios.

If you didn't include "Rome" in your analysis, you would be “very close†to being right on the money kingdavid. Rome is only a "part" of the system, as are many nations:

The ‘horn power’ (antichrist) of Daniel 8 does not derive its strength from any nation on Earth (including Rome). The horn power in Daniel 8 is a power unto itself, and appears from nowhere out of one of the four winds, specifically, the north. And we know from Isaiah that:

The fact that he is called a ‘man’ is irrelevant because if we continue in the very same chapter of Isaiah:

Isaiah 14:16-17 "They that see thee (Lucifer) shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?"

The "false prophet" is none other than Lucifer (Satan) himself, in his "role" as the false messiah, or false prophet, antichrist, etc. (i.e. given "human form"). He’s an “actor†(look at how our culture worships actors and “stars†from Hollywood = Wormwood :D). God releases Lucifer (antichrist) and his angels from the Abyss at the fifth trumpet (that "star" :D that falls from heaven) and He permits this false messiah to use supernatural, miracle working powers so that people will believe his lies. As far as the "image of the beast"; the antichrist’s (Satan’s) “image of the beast†is also called “the great whore†in Revelation 17 because those who participate in his theocracy or “religion†will have to abandon (be unfaithful to) their own religion; and they will have to violate their consciences in order to survive, that is, to buy and sell. Even many claiming to be Christians will join this theocracy and inevitably avoid obeying Jesus Christ. It’s not the pope or the catholic church (or any other existing church or leader). The false messiah "will exalt himself over everything that is called God" (including the catholic church) by means of the miracles he has power to do (2 Thessalonians 2:4; Revelation 13:14). The false messiah will eradicate ALL of the religions in the world, including the papacy, to establish his one-world religion. The king of the north in Daniel 11:36 and the stern-faced king that comes out of the north in Daniel 8 are the same power. The papacy cannot meet ALL of the requirements and conditions that go with the horn power of Daniel 8. A study of Revelation 9 and Revelation 13:11-18, will show the false messiah (antichrist, false prophet, etc.), the physical appearing of Satan with 200,000,000 of his angels (Fifth Trumpet), to be the only solution that satisfies ALL of the specifications for this spurious messiah in the books of Daniel and Revelation. The Bible is not internally inconsistent or contradictory. ALL requirements and conditions must align, from ALL the books of the Bible! You can’t just go with some theory because it is convenient and looks good. The pre-trib rapture theory began the same way in 1830, and now this dangerous teaching has convinced half of all Christians to receive the first messiah that arrives on the scene. The false messiah is not the pope, or the Catholic Church, or any other powerful human being, religious organization, or nation. You’re thinking WAY too small. The Roman empire was not the last.

1. Head - Gold - (Babylon)

2. Chest - Silver (two arms - as in two armies - Medes and Persians)
