Strengthening families through biblical principles.
Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

Just because we have been forgiven does not mean we do not/ cannot sin.
If that were so then John did not know what he was talking about:
1 John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
Remember John was writing to Born again BELIEVERS, not unregenerate pagans.
That is EXACTLY what you were saying by this:No one is saying we aren’t without sin, we still live in this body of sin.
We have been set free from sin the moment God brought us to repentance and forgave our sin, then gave birth to our spirit, Born Again of imperishable seed..that seed remains us where?
I asked you a question, about what it means that Gods seed remains in us?Tell me what your definition of "sin" is.
If it is impossible to do something, should we not know exactly what that something is? And PLEASE, to not try to tell us this is you ONLY definition of sin:
1 John 3:4 kjv
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Please answer my question. That is EXACTLY what you were saying by this:
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
And again - what is your definition of "sin?"
Sorry, we are Born Again of imperishable seed, by whose witness are we Born Again of imperishable seed? That could be a couple of things and scripture is not clear.
It could be the indwelling Spirit, see John 20:22; or it could be our present presence in Heaven. See Ephesians 2:6 and note it is in PAST tense.
Disagree ,you aren’t explaining what it means to be Born Of imperishable seed, we either are or we aren’t.That would be one of the witnesses. Remember life and death issues require 2 or 3 witnesses.
1 John 5:10 says we have the witness within our selves. That would be the 2nd.
What is your definition of sin?
Thanks for your opinion. There are far too many post about the false teaching that Christians do not sin.
I thing the first is to establish what is sin?
Then to determine whether one does that?
For me I belief the bible teaches that who ever does not Love God with All their mind, body and soul and who does not Love their neighbour as they Love themselves is guilty of sinning.
By this standard We All repeatedly sin.
A Born Again cannot sin because they have been Born of God His seed remains in them..in not telling you, God is..still no answer to a few of my questions. In the OT the word translated sin is chata. חָטָא
In the NT the word translated sin is hamartia. ἁμαρτία
If you look them up, they are both archery terms meaning to aim at a target but miss the bullseye, or the mark.
For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. Romans 3:23
Can you honestly tell me that it is impossible for a born again child of God to not sin when it means trying to obey but falling short?
Thanks for your opinion.
Maybe you can explain what it means that Gods seed remains in us, remains where?
What in us has been Born Again? thank you.
How do you know that Jesus died and was resurrected? In the OT the word translated sin is chata. חָטָא
In the NT the word translated sin is hamartia. ἁμαρτία
If you look them up, they are both archery terms meaning to aim at a target but miss the bullseye, or the mark.
