Is there any PLACE for truth and honestly these days?

I find that when even the most BASIC of truths is offered, invariably, the MAJORITY of people will DISAGREE with it. Stating that there is NO PROOF that the truth IS The Truth. God forbid.

So, IS there a PLACE for 'truth' and 'honesty' any more or are we DOOMED to live our lives in fantasy world unti Christ returns?

It is true that human nature’s instinct it to rebel against truth because the human heart is evil from the start.
As time goes no, there will be less and less time for truth in this world because evil will increase as the Antichrist works his way closer to coming on the scene. This world is about to get very dark, but that also means that out Lord Jesus is about to catch us up out of here, then all the evil people can have this world and enjoy the tribulation.

Second sentence. WRONG AGAIN. For Paul PLAINLY offers that one could have the faith that it takes to MOVE A MOUNTAIN and STILL have such faith OUTSIDE of TRUTH.

You tell me. I have given you many basic Truths like the Real Presence and the Trinity, and may proofs for them. You disagree with these True Doctrines. Why?

My Comments:Jesus said, "Iam the way, the truth, and the life." Now, whether anyone believes in him, has faith in him, or not....He is still 'The Truth.'

God has left us a written record of His plans for the redemption of mankind. I believe we must study the Scriptures to know the trues He has revealed.

The problem is MEC, we all think that our version of things is the TRUTH - me included and mainly because I KNOW I'm right . . . and of course I say this in all honesty. ;)

But the fact is, truth stands alone. It is not subject to our beliefs, whims or fancies. Fortunately our walk with the Lord does not require an absolute knowledge of truth but a relationship with the one who is the Truth.

OK, but can you prove it?

That is not the point. Just because you have faith doesn't mean you have faith in the truth. However, the only way to know Eternal Truth is through faith. You will never be able to prove the correctness of Eternal Truth to another. They will have to accept it through their own faith.

Paul PLAINLY offered that one 'could have the FAITH to MOVE a mountain, but without Charity, it would mean NOTHING.

So 'faith' in and of ITSELF means NOTHING if it is NOT faith in the TRUTH. Satanist have FAITH. Agnostics have faith, atheists have FAITH, the difference IS 'faith in the TRUTH'.

Mutz, you are correct in that we do NOT NEED a 'complete understanding of ALL truth'. But we CERTAINLY need our FOUNDATION to BE in 'truth'. For anything else and we have NO GUARANTEES, NO PROMISES, NOTHING except ourselves.

The purpose of this thread was to point out that TRUTH is the ESSENCE of our existence. What we ARE was created in TRUTH, BY truth, and we are BOUND to believe IN TRUTH.

Therefore, GUESSING ain't gonna CUT it. For if one is GUESSING there is NO TRUE FAITH to begin with.
