A very emotive 'sound-bite' video which does not really address the problem which has existed for three generations.

I have no solutions, the problem is obviously way beyond me, BUT I suspect that Israel will think that NOW is a good time to act tough with Hamas and the miserable ghetto which is the Gaza Strip. This is one of the most densely populated areas in the world and you simply can't drop bombs there without killing civilians.

With the Arab world is disarray, there is not much likelihood of military support for the Palestinians. Even the combined Arab forces have been swatted aside in the past by the military might and superior organization of Israel. Israel has little to stop them except the condemnation of other countries. With American support, they are virtually free to do what they want.

Just maybe, ground forces can eliminate much of the Hamas military capability and the Hamas de-facto government. The Arab League could, once again, set up a provisional government. A new government would have a faint chance of engineering a lasting peace with Israel but the hard-liners can ONLY maintain the cycle of terrorism and reprisals. :twocents

he is saying that according psalms 122 to we are to pray for the peace of isreal and that according to his end times doctrine what happens to isreal reveals what will become of the world as her fate determines when the messiah will come.

its a loading question you have asked. i dont take that position but i do pray for isreal since im jewish.

This is the truth from the mouth of a Palestinian brave man:

I would encourage everyone to watch ALL of this video.

It is easy to regard some of it as biased or misleading but the real cause of the generation after generation trouble is shown near the end. Indoctrination and brutalization of children is almost impossible to undo. It takes more mind and will power than the average person has to overcome such ill-treatment as a child.

The Jesuits used to say, 'Give me a child for his first seven years and I will give you the man'. Now Hamas, the Taliban, etc are doing exactly the same. Freedom of thought is not an option to these people :shame

im familiar with it.

@+mike+

Lord, be with him in this time of danger and Protect Isreal. I also that you give him peace and security during the rockets and lead the Idf to victory.Lord save all the jews and arabs in that region according to your good pleasure. in your name amen.

By 'support', does this mean, think the IDF should have an absolutely free hand in shelling and bombing outside Israel's borders?

Maybe such retaliation is exactly the reaction that Hamas wanted?

During the Gulf War, Saddam shelled Israel in the hope that a massive, Israeli retaliation would prompt other countries in the region to join in, fighting Israel. US Secretary of State James Baker leaned heavily on Israel not to do so.

I'm not sure how much the Israeli government is listening to the Obama Administration, however, since it was Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration that pulled the plug on US ally Mubarak in Egypt, next door to Gaza.

we paid them not to act, this is different. its like this if we did that to you guys daily. im sure you would enter our country and return the favor.

Like, retaliate, go bomb, blast, shell, irrespective of the consequences to Israel, the region and Western interests?

yes you would. with restraint as isreal has. contrary to the lying media of the west that hates isreal. the idf does show restraint. would you then ingnore kids who yell, scream, at you and raise fists or would you shoot them?

i have watched a video where the idf has done nothing to kids who did just that. i have been there in a similar situation.kids arent a threat all the time. one must read them and the situation(op tempo).

dont believe the media as they never can present the whole story. you dont know that i could have died years ago if the rounds that cost america some bucks in that fuel point at the lz did ignite the ammo bunker. i wish i had that video of it all. a rolling flame that was unstoppable and burned the concertina wires for days.

here ya go.

I agree with you about the distortions of the media and that there is so much that is blatantly unfair in times of conflict and war.

What I'm asking is, should Israeli politicians and commanders be the sole judges of what action is and is not appropriate in the entire Mid East? The Israeli government itself has admitted razing Palestinian villages; the Israeli Kahane commission has admitted that Ariel Sharon was indirectly responsible for the massacres of Palestinians at Sabra and Shatila.

What I'm asking, I guess, is: should calls for restraint also apply to Israelis?

They're not man enough to go out on the front lines like others who fight , but hide behind women and children! They've done that for a long time. But of course they have no value for human life, except their own.

Israel may not always make the right decisions and we may not always agree with them. But as a nation we still must stand with Israel and not turn out back in her. How nations treat Israel is how they will be judged; sheep nations or goat nations.

You're American, maybe? I'm Canadian. I'm also a Christian. In fact, as Paul says to the Corinthians, there are three groups in the world. The Jew, the Greek (or Gentile) and the church of God. (I happen to be dispensational.)

So, primarily, seeing as God is sovereign and all powerful in any case, in whose interests do you identify, first and foremost?
