It’s OK to Be “Anti-Gay,†as Long as You Don’t Hate People

I apologize also... for Javier's spelling.

just kidding bro... ;-)

And I apologize for not posting morphed pics in this thread along with funny captions, that would get deleted anyway because some prude would object to them for lack of humor liken to allowing water to roll of the ducks back ! :P :-D

.

I (sort of) take my apology back... I do not apologize for our Mods, who had the humility to admit they were wrong and respectfully requested that thread be either deleted or moved.

Don Imus thought what he said was harmless humor and look where it got him... unemployed. :-?

Don Imus talked about ho's and nappy hair. Is that the same as talking about perverted priests and extreeme left wing politicians? So morphing and placing captions based on truth is not funny, is that it? :( I suppose political humor is out of place on Christians forums from now on?

And so is talking about this here priest here who is" in esseense" mocking the word of God by being a homosexual priest, out of place also?

So will Political correctness rule from now on, instead of the right to speak out against those who are blatantly promoting perversions such as homosexual priesthood, and the rights to abort a baby such as does Hillary? I suppose we can't use humor to call them on their shots using humor? Okay then. :( No morphing with captions.... as if morphing is a sin?

and so then, no more jesting with comments about priests who promote homosexuality from the pulpit?

In the other instance, since when is morphing not nice just because some person named Alonevoice didn't like it? :-? I happen to have a morphing program and have had a lot of fun with it and have laughed at morphings of myself along with my friends and family.

Like I wrote before, If you can't laugh at yourself (and situations that are humorously ludicrous), then what does that say about the person who thinks morphing is not funny? Can anyone spell p r u d e? His idea of political humor is funny but not ours? Is that it? :-?

Sorry, but I didn't think it was wrong. Morphings have been posted plenty around this forum long before Alonevoice came along and complained that they weren't funny. Seems to me he was the only person that had something to say about it, but it was okay for him to post a link to some gaud aweful comic about not funding the troops in Iraq. :o

Okay then. :-? No more jokes in relation to the perverted ideas from the minds of people who are promoting pervertedness. Is that it?

Relic - I am but no stretch of the imagination a prude.

However, I bring you and the rest of the readers here, back to the Scriptures with Eph. 4:29.

I believe in speacking truth to a situation. Of this there is no question. But HOW one speaks truth is just as vital to the truth itself!

Humor can be a very dangerous area - I believe that God delights with joy, amusement, and laughter - however, sarcasm, degregation (sp?) and blatant ridicule in the name of humor is not Godlike behavior.

Oh, really? As if this comic clip you posted in the politics thread http://www.christianforums.net/viewtopi ... 283#326283 and linked to this graphic http://images.ucomics.com/comics/db/2007/db070401.gif is HOW you depict a thing to be funny :o as if it posed the true character of the patriotic American soldier who now is serving to bring freedom to an oppressed people?
That comic inferred to the notion they want to run away from their duty to serve in the armed forces of America? :o I hardly think our soldiers are so wimpy!
They don't sign up for the war just to later say they don't want to be supported by the government with the supplies they need to get the job done!
So Your comic is a fat outright lie. and is very much unlike the humor that is posted by others here who do so in truth of the perverted ideals of the perverted homosexual priest or the politician who advocates for baby killing or gay relationships and gay marriage.

========

sorry, jg. Some things just need to be stood up against. Yes, even the gay priest who profess that there is nothing wrong with being a gay priest!

And if people use humor to lighten the craziness of it all, I see nothing wrong with it. And in this case the truth of someones character is not being violated. However! it was violated in that horrid comic that Alonevoice posted in the political thread which depicted only lies about the character of our american soldiers! And he has the nerve to come here and say " But HOW one speaks truth is just as vital to the truth itself! " :smt017

Oak-ay then, thred back to the OP. :silly:

Hate the sin, not the sinner even if they do dress wierd!

are morphing icons permitted?  :smt032

Since this seems to be getting personal, might I propose a few options:

1) A thread on the use of humor

2) A thread in the debate forum, between you and me Relic - on either the use of humor or specifically the political cartoon that I posted as a response to the editoral cartoon from Solo - since you have misunderstood the intent of my posting and the intent of the catroon itself.

or

3) A PM converstation between you and me since it seems that this has become personal.

Hmmmm :-?

Alone...Relic is right in what she is saying...That Cartoon you posted is very offensive to me....I for one send care packages to IRAQ regularly and know of many folks who are serving their country so that folks like you and I can sit here behind our computers in Freedom...

Do I like the war? NO...
Do I support our President and troops? YES....
Why do I support our President and troops? Because I am thankful for the many Freedoms this country offers me....I love ''my'' country and praise God my folks decided to move here....

Now, when you rebuked me, I accepted it, did something about it and moved on...What are you going to do in light of Matt 7:3 ?

I would humbly submit that both you and Relic misunderstood the purpose of the cartoon and it's intended use as a rebutal to Solo's initial post.

pass the eye wash please. :P

Actually, that passage refers to the particular sin that is being addressed, yes? Not sin that one has already overcome or has no struggle with.

as is indicated in Matthew 7:5 which clearly states that once you have cast out the sin from your own life you are fully capable of helping others. i,e, your brother, to overcome that sin.

So then in regards to homosexuality, if one does not have that problem (sin) or has overcome that problem (sin) in their own life, they are qualified to help the one who is struggling (living in the sin) to overcome.

I fully support the person who has a desire to come out of the homosexual lifestyle, and I am adamant at helping those who are trapped in the sin of it to see the light that is the way out of this abomination of a sin. Yes, even the homosexual priest who dresses funny and looks somewhat like Elton John. :P

Ok ladies and germs (wait, that's not politically correct) ladies and non-beneficial bacteria, I was unaware of the questionable link when the request to remove the thread was presented to me. So, let the two wrongs cancel each other out and thank you relic, for getting this back on topic.

Sorry for the disruption.

The OP ''It’s OK to Be “Anti-Gay,†as Long as You Don’t Hate People''

Love the sinner and hate the sin as the saying goes.....I confess it is hard for me to do, and God is working on me for this....
BUT when you read of things like this, IT vexes me...because these are people who are suppose to be taking care of the sheep and instead are saying ''it is OK to live in sin''....How can you love people that are walking people into hell with them....And this is true not only of the sin of Homosexuality, but of all sins, but this one is really bad because it carries allot of consequences and hurts allot of people around them including children who grow up being confused......

Gay Bishop Will Make Union with Partner Official

Concord, New Hampshire - The Rev. V. Gene Robinson became the Episcopal Church's first openly gay bishop. Now, he and his partner want to be among the first gay couples in New Hampshire to officially unite under a soon-to-be-signed civil unions law.

New Hampshire is set to become the nation's fourth state to offer civil unions for gay couples after legislation approved by the state Senate on Thursday was sent to Gov. John Lynch, who has said he would sign it.

"I think this moves us one step closer to the American promise to all its citizens of equality under the law," Robinson told The Associated Press. "My partner and I look forward to taking full advantage of the new law."

Robinson, 59, was elected as Episcopal bishop of New Hampshire four years ago, a move that made him a household name but also divided the Anglican community. Earlier this year, Anglican leaders demanded the U.S. denomination step back from its support of gays or risk losing its full membership in the world Anglican fellowship.

I suppose those people need 'love' the most! Remember, that we are not only supposed to share God love - but also share God's truth with love.

Sometimes sharing God's truth with love involves being very stern in the use of your words.

Jesus said to Peter....

Matthew 16:23
But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."
