The Bible is not a carnal book, it is a Spiritual Doctrine.
Some things that men say are not in the Bible, are in the Bible. They are just not looking for them.
And some things that are in the Bible are rejected and called something else to make the Bible say what they want it too.

Actually, from a purely human perspective, pride seems to be the force at work behind false doctrine. And it is the fall out from that pride that then creates division and discord.

So-called teachers of the word will think a doctrine exists that's Biblically defensible, but then they are corrected and shown to be wrong. And instead of acknowledging that they were wrong they, out of pride, refuse to acknowledge their error and create more and more falseness to defend themselves. Arrogance seems to be the reason people latch onto and refuse to give up doctrines they have been shown to be false.

It's a scary thing. The narcissists of the world are who cause the pain and grief in this life. Not because they're the only one's who do, and think, and say bad things, but because they are one's that you can not reason with when disputes and conflicts arise. Out of sheer pride, they'd rather dig in, knowing full well they're wrong, and resist to the bitter end. Peaceful reconciliation and an arriving at the truth is impossible to do with them.

Jethro pretty much said it all. If God did not say it then we need not believe it. Each of us has a Bible and should have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that teaches us all things as we do our own homework so we are without excuse on the day we face the judgement seat of Christ to give an account of all we have done and said, Matthew 12:36,37; 2Corinthians 5:10,11. Satan is very clever as he teaches a different doctrine twisting the word of God as many would rather believe a lie as they blind themselves to truth.

I do not dispute Scripture - what I do dispute is the many claimed inspired way out, weird and wacky interpretations attributed to the HS as the cause or fruits of division, confusion, divergence, disunity, contradictions etc - a slipshod careless reading of scriptures, as also my post is the problem so I repeat what I have stated and in this case that at Jn.3 it does not say that Jesus said a Christian or Christians must be born again {as Christians} - twinc
