local it hasn't been covered.so let us in on the local news. Is it a "Covid" curfew or is it just a curfew to settle the me-ham?
Social distancing is the most effective and caring thing to do right now. Wearing masks is second, especially if one knows he/she has been exposed. Wearing masks 24/7? I could not do that. I find myself gasping for air now when I wear one for any length of time, like during our Sunday worship service. I place a finger under the bottom between the mask and my chin so I can get a little more air and that helps.Sorry didn't read that.
Social distancing at all times. Actually my wife and I wore masks at home. Only two of us.
Yup. I figured the curfew would only serve to move the parties. When I was young and partying that's exactly what we would have done.
Curfews have been imposed in other states too. Here's a link to an article I found.local it hasn't been covered.
the article you posted implies a rowdy crowd of drunken idiots ,but ft.Lauderdale had a similar problem and passed measures to reduce and or eliminate it .they stopped advertising it as a spring break party town and it went away .Daytona has had to arrest a few during bike week and also spring break but nothing I have heard like this .
wsvn out of Miami ,I don't get ,so let me see.
Yup, the original curfew was from midnight to 6am. Now it’s 8pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.Levine Cava mulls lifting Miami-Dade curfew in April as vaccinations ramp up across South Florida - WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports | Fort Lauderdale

I didn’t read the article, but Washington State had similar curfews for bars.Curfews have been imposed in other states too. Here's a link to an article I found.
Some States Are Imposing COVID-19 Curfews-But Is There Any Science Behind Them?
Three states-California, New York, and Ohio, have recently put COVID-19 curfews into place to help stop the spread of the virus. Here's what to know.www.health.com
curfew applied to the entire county based on,covid .Yup, the original curfew was from midnight to 6am. Now it’s 8pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
What happened to being a country based on laws? This rioting has to stop, it’s getting out of control.
It sounds like in Miami, Florida the curfews start at 8pm. Some California, Ohio, and New York curfews take or took effect at 10pm. From the article, in California, the thought behind it is as follows.I didn’t read the article, but Washington State had similar curfews for bars.
Drudge Report indicates Germany considering even shutting down grocery stores.......yikes,It sounds like in Miami, Florida the curfews start at 8pm. Some California, Ohio, and New York curfews take or took effect at 10pm. From the article, in California, the thought behind it is as follows.
Curfews are in place to reduce opportunities for people to gather. "The hope is that it will discourage and decrease mobility among populations with the highest infection rates who are also most likely to be out late at night," Anne Rimoin, PhD, MPH, professor of epidemiology at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, tells Health. "The thinking behind this is that people who are out past 10 p.m. and before 5 a.m., doing things other than grocery shopping or other essential tasks, may be out at bars or restaurants or at events where they are likely to let their guard down and be less likely to wear a mask or social distance. The biggest impact of a curfew is likely that it is a signal about the seriousness of the situation—and how we all need to limit contact with others." Obviously, the best way to get infection rates as low as possible is to go into another lockdown. But that has serious financial implications, not to mention the widespread mental health impact of stay-at-home orders.
The article also goes on the explain there is no hard evidence for the effectiveness of curfews, although there seems to be evidence they have been helpful in Europe along with other measures but what those are was not mentioned.
Drudge Report indicates Germany considering even shutting down grocery stores.......yikes,
They won't. I guess that's one way to stop the virus. How would people eat?
Delivery, I guess. How would people eat?
Delivery, I guess.
Forced convenience. Its all about convenience these days i guess.
On the news here it made it seem that the mayhem was caused by Spring Break.just to settle the mayhem
this is caused by other states being in lockdown
