It's Official, The World Is Going to be Taken Over By Robots

Its in 2 Kings 6: 8-12
that is called the word of knowledge and God revealed that to him.

I have played with that stuff to know that isn't in our realm and only works if God lets you know the things you must know.

I have had visions of my wife sinning as if I was in the clouds watching her and I wasn't asleep and I was walking and thinking and God told me, all of which to this day she didn't know I knew and her confessions and her youngest told me all that I saw was true yet neither never knew that I had that vision.

I would be working the men in Afghanistan or thinking as I walked at night listening to my music, or running the track.

nothing like telepathy, at all.

It prolly wasn't telepathy. But I don't know what to call it. That's about the closest descriptive term I could think of. I don't think it was words of knowledge either, just a very good connection that we had. It's not anything that we tried to do, it just happened. But my point was that, we ultimately do not need technology, we need God.

It's going to be an interesting 1000 years on earth when Jesus comes. There's a lot of people and commerce will probably have to continue in some form. But I bet it's going to be a lot lot different than what we have now. I bet you a dollar that people won't be carrying phones around, lol.

Well, here is the latest robot report. Apparently robots are currently taking over the schools as well because I heard from one of my friends that parents are now being forced to sign permission slip online and neither of us would be at all surprised if they didn't have pencils and paper anymore altogether. There are two problems that I see with that. Number one should be the most obvious. With the cost of Internet constantly going up not everybody can afford it and therefore not everybody has Internet access.

Number two, I have said this time and time again but even still to this day I cannot stress it enough. Internet isn't always reliable and neither are computers or machines in general. If a homework assignment accidentally gets deleted,... what happens then?

neither is a person who writes and calculates things. I can do math in my head if I so choose. always have been able to, to include basic exponentials and log base of 10. some basic equations but I can make a mistake. one can argue that but well simply put, copy all completed homework and store the file where you know its archived. I have done this with a few online only things that I must have printed or photos, since well most cameras are digital and few buy film cameras. which is another subject.

I know that a machine does make mistakes but its also more likely the user who inputs the stuff is the root cause of the problem. I made a mistake on a read and the customer got the bill. the human back up to me didn't send us out to recheck the read and forced the read to be billed. 1700 dollar bill. it wasn't the machines fault but myself and the other in billing.

with writing things down. I do still see the need for that. at work I often will still as I must with check reads or as I often do. I read meters the day(work day) before, ie if I didn't have the new guy Monday. I would have wrote about 100 reads down and inputted them on Monday before I started.i do that to save money.

However, using your argument, cars can brake down, fuel lines can be backed up , ie been there with Irma. better have a horse, or bike just in case. see where I can go with this. and on paper work. with the army, any branch of government any and all important paperwork you must have, better copy and store as well that person can loose them too. I have copies of my retirement orders, both dd 214s. the ngb 22 which is the ONLY way I will collect my retirement is also stored both ways.

people loose their birth certificates , here these are archived and can be copied for a small fee.

Alright, I have to admit, you do make a really good counter argument, but at least if a car breaks down you can call a tow truck and you can probably just get another ride home. There probably is a way to recover a deleted document but that would be much harder and I think even harder than finding a lost paper document.

or in my case, fix it on the road if possible, done that with a tire or two. had to repair many a tires like that, last time was at work when I was ready to go home. plugged it and drove it to the tire store by city hall where I once worked.

I have paid to two my old ranger from wal mart and drove my wife with groceries home and repaired that thing at home. I diagnosed at the parking lot, bad fuel pump and had that running that weekend . Lonnie helped me with that job as I had to lift the bed up to get to the fuel pump. it was full of gas and it was much easier to do that.

Here's the latest scoop on robots/technology invading the earth. Now as a person who loves to read and going to the library I find this extremely sad, but I think that libraries (full of books at least) must be on their way out. After all, you wouldn't believe how many E books there are available to read on your devices. My great-great grandchildren might never even see a book I'm afraid.

Changes,I'm afraid my great grand would think ,it might think evil of cars, ever wonder how tags came about ?

Fear of them. I get the concern over Paper copies but well photos are digital both can be lost too.archive it all.in the past courthouses were wooden fires destroyed, birth records,I can't find my Irish lineage earlier then the great fire in Dublin or such like .

Robots can make space vehicles that self-replicate, mine for materials on foreign worlds, reproduce exponentially, and cover the galaxy. We're close to having the technology to do that.

in the factory world that is not to far off automation

Huh?? :confused2

Excellent. Let the robots do that hard factory work. People will then have more time to design better robots to help the elderly.

Hey Michael, I thought that you might find this thread again lol! :lol Anyways, if robots start taking over too many jobs then how will people afford to make a living? :confusedFactory workers need their pay too. :yes

robots need reapairs I highly doubt that man will cease working. im old enough to have to learn to use a typewriter, typists aren't around as that only nor are there many typewriter repairmen. I do need to photo the one that still does it, old house and worthy of a photo. he was the only house south of oslo on us1 and once I saw him I knew that turnike feeder was coming up.

most farming requires very few people to work. tilling and watering is automatic, it was done by workers up to the inventions that changed that with the driven tillers and also watering that is automatic. I can when I do visit Okeechobee get a few photos of that, they are huge.

im not for a lot of the changes coming as its not always good, there are doctors prescribing for health visiting pre electric and plumbing built homes for peace of mind. I agree many of the places of photo, I can see that, pre smart homes or ones with the modern amenities do indeed provide respite.

I also don't like the idea of going to a restaurant and some machine making me food and or robot server, why pay for that when I can stay home? grub hub etc. I have many a memories at various restaurants one being filled with subjects that I often photo(mrs macs a 50s era diner with a car theme and servers are named for either a car, or car part or mechanic)

I actually have used a typewriter a few times before. My grandmother had one that she would let me use (back before she had a computer) whenever I came over to her house. :)

But its not required .

A smart phone ,it has these in one. Phone, camera, note pad, camera, video camera, video games, clock, stop watch ,radio.unheard of mere 15 years ago or . I haven't used a rolodex in ages, clock ? I have two,a grandfather one that is 100 years old ,plus two digital ones. I,need to photo that grandfather clock again.

My,mom remembers pre 911 days here and would direct fire and police and ambulances.switchboard.I had an old phone from the the 30s. It did work .I plugged it in and got dial tone

Anyways, if robots start taking over too many jobs then how will people afford to make a living?

1) As the baby boom retires, there will be a shortage of skilled workers for the factories. Machines replace the retiring workers so that America can still make enough stuff for the people. There are additional elders each year compared to how many youngsters there are.

2) When machines took over most farming, people still had jobs. Businesses just found other ways to employ people. One other way for them to get jobs is to do medical care for the elderly. Nursing, home health care aides, and such.

3) Other nations are building automated factories. If the US doesn't build them too, we won't be able to sell our products around the world. One example is the steel industry. China built a lot of automated modern steel mills, and US steel mills using manual labor couldn't compete with them. China now produces as much steel as the entire rest of the world put together. They have a 50% savings rate, which gives them lots of capital to build modern automated factories. The US has a zippo national savings rate, so doesn't have the capital to build as many modern factories.
