Do you notice any difference in meaning here:

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing [size="+3"][/size]too hard for me?

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing [size="+3"][/size]hard for me?

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: nothing is [size="+3"]too hard[/size] for me?


Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: nothing is [size="+3"]hard[/size] for me?

I'm curious here. The first and third expressions seem to suggest limitations (I know God can do everything - just that I don't seem to understand the use of, or emphasis at 'too'.)
 
Maybe reading a Jewish bible without the translation problems may help, ...I heard the story of a Messianic Jew sitting in church and someone asked him what translation he was reading...he said "it's Jewish the original language" the person then replied I use the King James its more trustworthy

The english word can be used for various functions - the one that you're examing means overly much, excessively, intolerantly, inordinately, unacceptably, unduly.

  1. The soup is too hot.
  2. The offer was too good to refuse.
  3. This shirt is way too big for me.
  4. She is much too young to be watching this movie.
  5. You gave me too many cards.
  6. I have too much to do.
  7. He works much too hard.
I like to use the online bible called "BlueLetterBible" which can be found at Blueletterbible.com -- one of the things that comes in handy is a Lexicon which lists the original language and gives Strongs' definitions. Here's a link to Jeremiah 32:27 BLB Lexicon Jer 32:27

Now compare: BLB Concordance Jer 32:27

Notice that there is one word in the Hebrew:

פָּלָא
"pala' "

We can see that it has the sense of wonderous or marvelous works and can be used for doing an extrordinary or hard or difficult thing.

The English phrase "too hard" just let's us know that in essence He is asking, "Of all the difficult or excessively hard things [for you], there is none difficult for me. Now, that's a very liberal rendering off the top of my head, and I'm no scholar, but that is the sense that I get from it and I'm pretty sure that you'll agree. It's like Jason said, "don't worry about it too much." And yeah, I know that isn't exactly what Jason said, but you get the idea and I didn't change his meaning overly, right?

if you insist then i will go to the masoretic text from the jews themselves rendered in modern english.
