A thread entitled "Jesus has ascended into Heaven" was closed by Mungo with the comment "Apparently no-one wants to discuss the topic anymore". That is not the case. I don't believe that reflects the desire of the participants. Perhaps it conflicts with his Catholicism. However, I believe that a number of us want to continue discussing the topic. So here is my continuation of the topic...

You wrote, "When I encountered Jesus, I knew nothing. I only knew that I felt loved and that He was trying to take care of me somehow." That is what I am referring to! "I felt loved" -- that is not an intellectual emotion, that is spiritual! You felt loved by a person whom you have never met or seen! That is spiritual. Same thing with "He was trying to take care of me somehow." That is precisely what I mean by spiritual knowledge, not intellect and not from a known cause.
That is very similar to how I felt when Jesus healed me in the hospital. When I was an atheist I had always relied on my intellect and intelligence, but when He healed me I was overwhelmed with love from a person whom I had never met!!! That is spiritual knowledge.
Now, when I read the Bible and pray, I feel that same feeling, but to a lesser degree. But it is there! I might add that I read many other things, but nothing I read affects me the way God's word does. And nothing affects me like prayer, including speaking in tongues. My mind is unfruitful: "For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful." 1 Corinthians 14:14
Interesting stuff!!!
