Jesus has ascended into heaven -- continued.

You might want to read about Jesus meeting with Moses and Elijah before He was crucified. Then explain how Jesus was the first to be given immortality.

Matthew 17:4, "Then Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if you wish, I will set up three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
That was not literal Jay, that was the transfiguration of Jesus, the fulfillment of this:
(Matthew 16:28) . . .Truly I say to you that there are some of those standing here who will not taste death at all until first they see the Son of man coming in his Kingdom.”

Think about it, Jesus had not yet died, therefore the ransom had not been paid yet. The first resurrection (Rev 20:6) had not yet happened, which you likely realize would not preceed Christs death. Jesus was the first that God resurrected to heavenly life, and the first one to be given immortality: 1co 15:20 But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep.

At the time Paul penned this Jesus was the only one to have it: (1 Timothy 6:15, 16) . . .He is the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, 16 the one alone having immortality. . .

But when the first resurrection occurred those anointed Christians who went to heaven were given immortality as well: (1 Corinthians 15:51-54) . . .We will not all fall asleep in death, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the blink of an eye, during the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we will be changed. 53 For this which is corruptible must put on incorruption, and this which is mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when this which is corruptible puts on incorruption and this which is mortal puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will take place:. . . When that trumpet blew they were granted immortality. That was not all of them however, as born again Christians die now they will be changed in that blink of an eye, and then at the return of Jesus, the remaining ones will meet the Lord in the air. 1 Thes 4:16,17

You can go on and on, but the Bible says that Jesus literally spoke with them. What other parts of the Bible do you disagree with?

Matthew 22:29-33, "Jesus answered them, “You are wrong because you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like angels of God in heaven. And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is God not of the dead but of the living.” And when the crowds heard it, they were astounded at his teaching."

You need to read the Bible and believe what it says.

When Jesus said "He is God not of the dead but of the living" do you us that to say we have IMMORTAL souls, and continue living even tho we shed the flesh?

Then you have not read you Bible.
Lk 20:38- Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living; for all live to Him.”
I have read the Bible extensively for many years and, unlike yourself, I understand it.

Luke 20:34-40, "Jesus said to them, “Those who belong to this age marry and are given in marriage, but those who are considered worthy of a place in that age and in the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. Indeed, they cannot die anymore, because they are like angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection. And the fact that the dead are raised Moses himself showed, in the story about the bush, where he speaks of the Lord as the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Now he is God not of the dead but of the living, for to him all of them are alive.” Then some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you have spoken well.” For they no longer dared to ask him another question."

Until you understand Scripture, you should no longer ask me another question. I have better things to do than teach you.
