Greetings all!
For years my husband and I have been writing music to glorify our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I just wanted to introduce myself to you all and share a song that we wrote 'There is a Way' as I listened to it this morning with new ears. It was written after our Lockyer Valley region in Queensland Australia experienced a catastrophic flood in 2011. A wall of water took out homes and tragically families. Other families in the major city of Brisbane had their homes completely submerged when a dam servicing the city had to release controlled volumes of water (attached picture shows how close the dam came to failure at well over maximum capacity and I praise God for his ministering angels and protection). The resulting depression through fights with insurance companies saw tragic circumstances where people who had lost all hope and without the knowledge of who they truly are in Jesus Christ committed suicide. I wrote this song to try to reach those people who were suffering through this calamity. I woke up this morning with a prompting to take steps to share this with my brothers and sisters in Christ as we all need to be reminded of the truth and that is that Jesus Christ has paid the price for us all to live and walk in victory, no matter what our current circumstances. When Jesus Christ is our Lord we have God's wisdom and the Holy Spirit to guide and protect us but we need to seek him daily and keep his word going in our ears and in our eyes so when the times of tribulation and danger present themselves (and they will) we are able to face them by speaking his word out of our mouths. As born again believers we have been recreated in the spirit of God and we become sojourners on this earth but we are not of this earth. Yes we live on this earth but our spirits dwell in God's kingdom on this earth in our hearts, where God's love flows through us to this world. I just want to share the peaceful gift that God has given us as I know what amazing moments I have had in the recording studio when the presence of the Holy Spirit is so strong. Getting our music to the recording stage is always an achievement as everything tries to stop us along the way.
