I hope and pray for his salvation.
I pray he repents for years of false teaching and leading so many astray.
I don’t believe he can be forgiven of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
I pray for his eternal soul.

I don't know about all that, JLB. I think we are all capable of errant teaching. If He were a JW or a Gnostic, with all certainty he would be in danger. But as a Bible study writer I used to scan the Biblical commentaries sections in the Christian bookstores back in the day, and while I didn't always agree with him, I found MacArthur's stuff to be more informative, generally more accurate, and better written than the rest of it. Not that the stuff they sell in bookstores is very high-powered, and maybe that was part of the problem. But his work generally stood above others, at least among what was available mass market.

I hear you bro. You are certainly right. We all are capable of many evil things, in which we should fear the Lord and depart from evil.
However, the teachings of Calvinism and TULIP are Heresy.
God loves the world. Not just the few He is partial to.
OSAS is the lie, from Garden of Eden.
Go ahead and eat from the tree Eve, you won’t die….
Also
Saying that the Holy Spirit who is operating through Christians is the devil is text book blasphemy of the Spirit.
Either a person understands that or they don’t.

For a long time now he has seemed to me to be the leader of the pack against the idea that God communicates His will directly to people by Spirit-to-spirit revelations. I don't know if it qualifies as the unpardonable sin to suggest that people who believe they hear from God may be listening to evil spirits. But it is plausible. Only God knows for sure.

Though I did not believe everything John MacArthur has had to say. I must say that at least he did not try to be someone he was not. I have enjoyed him as he preached the unique message that was on his heart.
