I'm not questioning your view that the covenant at Mt. Sinai can be seen as a wedding. I thinks that's beautiful.

I'm just saying that I doubt Moses and Israel saw it that way at the time. I think it was a gradual realization that God was not about making laws for people to keep and destroying them is they didn't. God is about His love for mankind by which He chose Israel as priests to all nations to show forth the love/glory of God leading to the advent of Jesus by whom the Gentiles could be grafted into the people of God.

And Noah found grace is a new concept or old one.did he find it by works. Jesus nor the apostles taught any new redefinition of grace.they ,the hebrew majority church new what that meant.it's more then just a simple acronym in fact Esther is a good example of that.when did god marry isreal then,horeb,by his covenant to abraham?or in the exile?it's by implication thar it's at horeb.why god redeemed them and showed the world they are mine.

Esther is a wonderful prefiguring of both Christ, who offered His life for the lives of the people and of the church, the bride of Christ, who intercedes before God for the entire human race. She is an example of the priesthood of believers who go before the King to save the people.

This reality of God's intervention into our lives even before we can recognize it is part of what we Methodists understand as prevenient grace, the grace in our lives that precedes our acceptance of God and His "saving" grace. All of our Judeo-Christian heritage is one of God drawing us closer, first through a longing for Him, then through revealed knowledge, and finally repentance, acceptance, and redemption.
