Hello,

Just joined for some interesting conversations. I used to be a christian but I have been putting that behind me for the last 2 years. Don't ask me why I want to hang out on a christian forum, that I can not answer (Maybe it's because I have had 13 years of history with faith and this is my way of moving on)

Welcome to the forums!

Can I ask briefly what made you want to put that behind you? Of course, I am not looking for a debate by any means, but just am curious.
 
Welcome to our Christian fellowship r3alink. You say that you were a Christian, and what many don't realize is that anyone born of God through whatever little faith they may have exhibited, they remain as such even through spinning their wheels in the world. You might be familiar with the prodigal son told us in Luke 15:11-31. God is not through with you yet, and it's good to have you come home. :)

Being "Christian" is not about maintaining some type of faith. It's a relationship with Jesus. His yoke compared to the Worlds and the devils is lite.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
(Mat 11:29-30)

Nobody just leaves a relationship that benefits them greatly behind. My list of things the Lord has done for me is long, and will continue to get longer. Son healed of incurable cancer is one near the top of the list.

So you may have had 13 years in some religious junk someone called faith. I can promise just one year of getting to know Jesus personally, you would not just "put" him behind you. Not possible.

17 year of knowing Jesus and not one time has it crossed my mind to just "Put him behind" I can't even fathom it. I suggest you get to know him.

LOL, I have many times in the last 2 years. But my slipping back in gets less frequent as I go along.
