Second driving lesson, went on a drive around town. First time really on the road.

Went well mostly, a couple things happened.
Someone decided to follow us around and when we stopped in a parking space downtown the police showed up. Apparently the person following me was concerned about my driving and I guess he thought I might be drunk or something? Anyways, just showed the officers my permit and that was all.
Went to go back to my church where we had started out. Got to a big intersection and when I went to turn, because I didn't have as much time to slow down, drove a bit into the traffic. :eek Luckily those cars were paying attention, but it was definitely a scare. I backed up and went into the right lane to continue onward.

Drove back to the church. Decided I was done for the day.

Please pray for me that I won't make a mistake like this again, I think it's going to haunt me for a few days.

Also, please be gracious with the drivers you encounter, they may still be learning for all you know.

Said a prayer for you, sister.

As a habit, ask the Lord to lead you and guide you every time you get into a vehicle, even before you start the car. It's not a bad habit for any of us. I've been driving 3 hours a day every day for nearly thirty years now, and it's just a wise precaution, no matter how good a driver you are. You never know what you will encounter out there, so being led by the Spirit is becoming more and more important.

God bless, and thanks for sharing,
